RABBLE RABBLE - Bangover!

Rabble Rabble is a psych punk band that hails from Chicago, IL . Their sound, developed over the course of the past four years, has grown into a contemporary take on psychedelic rock. Guitarists and vocalists Todd McCafrey and Ralph Darski, the two original members of the band, create a complex layering of sound rich with blues undertones and frenetic guitar play. They solidified the lineup with drummer Kaylee Preston and bassist Matt Ciarleglio.

BANGOVER!!
Chicago's flower punk rockers Rabble Rabble's debut album. The fans have termed “Bangover” for how one feels the morning after a Rabble Rabble show. This album gives it to you straight with the perfect blend of catchy guitar jangle and pulsing drum grooves enticing the body into primal hypnotic rhythms. Self recorded in the group's jam space with the sweat and intensity of their enthralling live performances. This LP includes two tracks recorded by Brian Zieske at the Gallery of Carpet Studio. Limited to 275 vinyl 12" LPs with screen printed covers, b&w copied insert and download card (as compiled on the band website)

This is a must have, it will turn you on.

SKUNK APE - Southernindustrialalcoholaggression ~ Join The Hunt!

Deep in the Florida swamps lurks a beast of unimaginable force and ferocity...those that have seen it and survived called it the SkunkApe. Blending brute force and melodic aggression SkunkApe dominates the presence of sound as you know it. Grooves deeper than the Lousiana basin, bass bigger than Fat Albert and riffage from the apocolypse come together to form.…..Southern Groove Core!!

A culmination of influences that represents a truly distinct sound. Metal, funk and southernindustrialalcoholaggression blend to kick your ass like that dude in high school!

So stay alert and catch a glimpse of the beast! JOIN THE HUNT (as compiled from the bands website).

THE OTHER SIDE - Catch the Sun!

The Other Side are all from central Fife, Scotland, who put the band together in February 2009. Within 3 months they had written and recorded 8 songs, launched themselves on Myspace and did their first gig in Edinburgh.
Since then they have continued to write and record new songs, 17 in total so far. Their Album, Catch The Sun, is available at
 www.reverbnation.com/theotherside
They have gigged every month, 63 gigs so far and counting. All recordings are produced by Kirby in their rehearsal rooms on an 8 Track. Their influences are as wide ranging as their own music. They have no fixed agenda or style to constrain the writing process. If it sounds good, no matter what, they will go with it. To really find out what they are all about you really need to catch one of their explosive live sets. Where they can go from Bluesy/Rock, through Punk and back to mellow in the space of a few songs.
For 2011, more of the same. They are hoping to gig further afield, north or south, so any promoters or venues looking for a band that always turn up on time, give you or the sound engineer no grief and deliver a great set, get in touch.

SWIRL - Adrenaline

Swirl is the new age of rock. They surpass the bands from earlier decades and have created a new look and sound for today’s rock music. Their songs are crisp and full of emotion. They are also catchy tunes with sustainability. They are full of radio friendly tunes, thick with rhythmic movements and hooks - need I say more? My personal interpretation of these songs are a plethora of sensations and dynamic high lights that need to be experienced by each one of us.

In Mukilteo, Washington, brothers Duane and Brian Jones (DT and Bam-Bam, respectively) started the group Swirl. They released a CD, toured the United States and went to Japan in the late 90’s into the early 2000’s. In 2004 Fred Coury remixed songs from their first CD. With the insertion of band members Al Ramirez (lead singer) and Shane Carlson (bass) in 2008, the group finally had their ducks in a row and began their quest to deliver their music to the masses.

Between October 23, 2008 and present, Swirl has performed with Slaughter, Stephen Pearcy, Britny Fox, Bullet Boys, RATT, Extreme, Pat Travers, L.A. Guns or Souls of We. Swirl have performed in almost every state of our union and have been endorsed by companies such as Charvel Guitars, Jackson Guitars, Mesa Engineering, Seymour Duncan, Spectraflex, Excetelyne, Spector, Yamaha, Super Naturals, Dean Markley Strings, Furman Sound and Pickboy. They will continue to tour to promote this and upcoming projects. (as compiled from the bands website).

Today's outages...

Some global areas notified us that they were not receiving the Pluto Radio internet stream today, or that the stream was somewhat intermittent, upon inspection, our tech team discovered some minor streaming issues which may have affected your listening area for several hours.   (Sorry about that - Glowboy dropped the ball!).  I have been assured that those issues have been cleared up, which, is great news because I expect to add a new Stalker Kimmy/UNSUNG show for our listeners this week, as well as Bernie Durfee's first, official guest hosting for Lee Crisman's UNSUNG.  Bernie has been a featured artist here @ Pluto RAdio, and he is a welcome addition as a guest host...  I also expect to add one of our first band interview segments to the stream, perhaps, later in the week - no later than next week.  That interview will feature Los Angeles, alternative, muti genre musician/singer/songwriter Gordon Bash.

BERNIE DURFEE - Making Music!

I play while sitting prone under a tree in a field on a plain. Why? I'll tell you why. I like to make music. I like to listen to music, but that mostly makes me feel like making music. So I started making music, lots of music.

I like the act of writing, playing and recording. The entire life-cycle of music. I've put together a fantastic web-site and have put together a fantastic album for sale, details on my fantastic web-site. I will continue to make music, to write music and to record music. Because that's what I love to do. Thanks! (all as compiled from Bernie Durfee's website http://cobzilla.com/)

AUTODRONE - Throbbing Base, Jagged Synths, Dark Guitars & Banshee Vocals!

www.reverbnation.com/autrodrone
Autodrone formed in 2002, based on a love of all things dark, atmospheric, and experimental, fitted with a dream-pop backbone. Autodrone seamlessly meld the sonic dynamics of noise and pop with throbbing bass lines, jagged, angular synths, searing dark atmospheric guitars and urgent banshee vocals, Autodrone have no problem reaching out from the stage to the crowd, grabbing you by the throat, and screaming in your face, even when sometimes they are whispering.

Their shows are an intense emotional surge for the band and audience alike. Their self-released EPs and notorious performance art-colored live shows have quickly developed the attention of the UK and American Press garnering universally favorable reviews, while easily selling out of print.

The Strike A Match LP is Autodrone's latest studio effort. Their debut LP is darker, denser, and more experimental, yet more catchy and hook-laden than any of their previous work. The album has received a deluge of critical acclaim and has made it onto multiple "best of 2007" lists, though was at the time unreleased. Strike A Match caught the attention of the indie Label Clairecords, who released the CD November of 2008. Currently they are busy completing work on their next LP, and touring as much as possible!

Some of the bands who they have shared stages with along the way are:
THE SWIRLIES, GREGORY AND THE HAWK, HEALTH, WORLD/INFERNO FRIENDSHIP SOCIETY, RAINER MARIA, SONIC BOOM (of Spacemen 3), DIRTY ON PURPOSE, SERENA MANEESH, MATT & KIM, THE CLOUD ROOM, SCANNERS, OH NO OH MY, PARTS AND LABOR, AMPOP, DIKTA, OPPENHEIMER, A PLACE TO BURY STRANGERS, SUICIDE, THE FLESH, GEORGIE JAMES, TAKKA TAKKA, DATAROCK and ASOBI SEKSU (all as compiled from the bands website).

ADRIAN AND THE SICKNESS - Infectious, Bombastic Rock & Roll !!

Adrian and the Sickness is an undeniable front of infectious pop concoction wrapped around electric, bombastic rock and roll. They have been wowing live audiences with sweet melody and sheer sonic power since their debut in February 2004. Guitarist Adrian Conner also plays lead in Hell’s Belles, an AC/DC tribute band so fearsome that Angus Young himself is a devoted fan. She’s a deft soloist and a sure hand with a stinging riff, and she’s demonstrated her talents in front of demanding AC/DC fans all over the world. But she’s also a formidable pop-rock songwriter, penning honest, forthright songs spiked with catchy, irresistible hooks. Her original music has been called “exciting, rambunctious and kinda scary” in Guitar Player Magazine (2007).

In 2008, Adrian’s endearing melodies as well as her scalding six-string caught the attention of fellow Austin resident, songwriter and bassist for the Gogo’s, Kathy Valentine, who produced the band’s fourth CD, B.F.D. (2009). Kathy’s attention to sonic detail and eye for the architecture of pop composition resulted in an album that combines the rock fury and dazzling guitar of Angus’ best, with the approachability and energy of early Go-Go’s-style pop-punk. Adrian and the Sickness released B.F.D., under their own label, Fantom Records, which charted on CMJ stations across the US and Canada, in early 2010.

Recently, the band has begun pre-production on their fifth album and Kathy Valentine is on tap to produce once again. Commanding, untamed, and with a kinetic live show to level all comers, Austin’s Adrian & The Sickness are just what the Dr. ordered (as compiled from their website).

ZELAZOWA - Steel Will

Think Soundgarden and Alice In Chains had a love child with Neil Young.

Zelazowa, full of spunk and vigor can now boast that they are the musicians behind the 2011 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit video trailer....Way to go boys!

FREE downloads of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition featured song, "You Say Love", are available at www.reverbnation.com/zelazowa.

The fact that ZELAZOWA's name – derived from the birthplace of composer Frederick Chopin in Poland – loosely translates to "steel will" could hardly be more apropos.

"We're four guys from Philly who have experienced more together in 10 years than most people experience in 100 lifetimes," says singer and guitarist Bryan Weber of the band's global adventures. "Imagine every human emotion wrapped up in a ball of fire, ready to explode at any moment – I think that basically says it. We are closer than brothers and would do anything for one another, and there's no doubt that our music and live show reflect that sentiment."
Nowhere is it reflected more brilliantly than on ZELAZOWA's effervescent new album, Elephants on a Mousehunt. Awash in melodic hooks and quirky ingenuity, the album is perhaps best described as the unlikely merger of AT THE DRIVE-IN's post-punk angst and SOUNDGARDEN's artful, fuzzed-out riffage, with a pinch of PAVEMENT's endearing unpredictability thrown in for good measure (all as compiled from the bands website).

Band Members:
Bryan Weber - Vocals, Guitar
Ian Sharkey - Vocals, Bass
Kyle Weber - Lead Guitar, Backing Vocals
Terry Sharkey - Drums, Backing Vocals

EARTHLING SOCIETY - 60’s Psychedelia

The Earthling Society is a 21st-century progressive, psychedelic, experimental band. The Earthling Society formed in early 2004 when singer songwriter / guitarist Fred Laird and David Fyall met up with drummer Jon Blacow. Disillusioned with the current music trends and sharing a love of 1970s progressive rock, krautrock and 1960s psychedelia, Earthling Society built a primitive 8-track recording studio in a corner of a disused glass factory. Ignoring any commercial intention, they started recording what became their debut album Albion purely as they had the ability to do so.

'Albion' was initially released on Mylodon records based in Santiago, Chile in March 2005, a move that Fred Laird described as a disaster. The release however started to receive glowing praise and critical acclaim amongst the press. In June 2005 Albion was picked up by Hans Georg Bier, head of Berlin based psychedelic label Nasoni records who promptly rereleased it on CD and vinyl formats. By August 2005 it became album of the month on former Teardrop Explodes frontman Julian Cope's website Head Heritage.

After a couple of appearances in the UK and the internet becoming littered with live and studio reviews Earthling Society have been in negotiations with UK based record distribution company Cargo records who officially release the band's entire back catalogue in the UK for the first time in September 2007.

As it stands now they are currently writing their fourth LP, a working title given by the band as "Welcome to the new Dark Age". A live track from their "Roadburn" festival will appear on a compilation album as well as a DVD release of highlights of their summer appearance at "Eastern Haze" festival.

PILGRIM SPEAKEASY - Kaleidoscopic Reflection

Pilgrim Speakeasy began as the freak powered vehicle for the expressions of a psychedelic troubadour from Scotland whose name over the past decade has slowly been forgotten. The songs are poetic and  philosophical reflections of what is referred to as reality, entwined with multi dimensional harmony and a unanimous cook up of rhythmic diversity totem poling its multifaceted character through a soup of originality.

If art is a reflection of a state of being then this is a kaleidoscopic reflection. But accessibly so and without drifting into the vacant sewers of popdom. ‘The partially perfect pretenders present pre-packed preposterous poses producing pretty pictures of petty poignancy’.

Its not quite escapism, showing you the magic but not removing itself entirely from the earth. The bleakness is comic the potency is cosmic…’You can have your head in the clouds if your hands are in the soil..’ Pilgrim Speakeasy solely produces all elements of this music, with occasional special guest spots from esteemed visitors. When the show is on the road it has been known as Pilgrim Speakeasy and The Playthings (as compiled from the bands website).

SEAN KERSHAW - Hi-Octane Honkytonk!

"Rockabilly at it's finest - complete with the twang and storytelling, Sean Kershaw packs in all the flavor and spice one would expect from a CD titled 'Coney Island Cowboy'!" - Stalker Kimmy, Pluto Radio
"Sean Kershaw slinks his strings and vocal chords in such a way that "ladies" in New York clubs go crazy!" - Metromix NY

"Love the great honky tonk swing of this cd. It really swings. Yet the title track Coney Island Cowboy is kinda modern even punk outlaw sounding, great stuff. Love the Trucker and the Tranny and Woke up Dead.” -BRCFP (UK internet radio)
Sean Kershaw & the New Jack Ramblers, purveyors of hi-octane honky tonk and long recognized as the hardest working band in Brooklyn, have released their long-awaited debut CD “Coney Island Cowboy” and are ready to take on the world.

In the '90s Kershaw fronted  a raveup rockabilly band called the Blind Pharaohs in Brooklyn, NY and in late 2001, started, on a whim and as a side project, Sean Kershaw & the New Jack Ramblers honing their craft playing primarily covers at a weekly residency at Hank’s Saloon (Brooklyn, NY) and at underground loft parties. They continued to perform in and around Brooklyn for the first few years of the bands existence. As recognition of their dedication, musicianship and entertaining live performances spread, the band branched out to other venues in New York City and beyond, with the occasional foray down South or up to New England.

By early 2007 the New Jack Ramblers were Mr. Kershaw’s main band and he had begun writing more original material specifically for the Ramblers. It was during this period also that the press began to take notice, with favorable reviews in TimeOut NY, the NY Times, NY Post, and, yes, Playgirl Magazine. Playgirl chose the original Sean Kershaw composition “Moonlight Eyes” as its Pick of the Month - July 2005 even though it had not been officially released.  More recently the Village Voice featured Mr. Kershaw on the cover of an issue devoted to Brooklyn Country music and it’s resurgence in popularity (as compiled from the bands website).

Its been a bit since I've said Hey Ya'l..so there you go. Painting is by Ken Kegan and is called The Violinist..It may still be available for purchase .. Art collectors. Find him on page 3 or the Plutoradio facebook and holla from da wall.
Anywho, the reason I'm posting is because I have a recommendation for all musicians who are still using myspace for there PK . Move your stuff or at least post at another site more easily accessible for people who want to hear you.
Mysapce is out of control with bad players, drops and now, loud obnoxious commercials right there on our pages. They did not ask us if we wanted them they just started F ing with our personal pages. There is no excuse except money hungry profits and using you to get them. I recommend reverbnation.com but any of the artist sites other then social networks are awesome with no commercials and just your bands info. Find one then let us know where you have moved to so we can update page 3. Better yet friend us at facebook then we can follow you all much better and keep building this awesome array of talent
There is nothing worse then hearing something you want to explore, finding the link only to get a broken player, seven minute site loads and then a loud ass Feminine hygiene commercial in between song one and two..ouch.

Cashmusic.org is the future for all of us musicians and artist so check them out and do it soon. Fan base is important to your future.

Meanwhile keep sending your MP3's direct to admin@plutoradio.com or PoolsidePlano@gmail.com. If your files are to large use Fileswap.com

INVERTA - Anthemic

The web of sound that is created when a group of musicians come together, is an ecological connection between each member, overlapping and warping in on itself to create something larger than the sum of its parts. There's a thread weaving itself through the music, connecting from one end to the other, across the silent gaps that separate.
Los Angeles band INVERTA is striving to understand and foster the growth of this thread.

Their sound can be described as semi-noir, melodically-charged, and multi-layered; a fusion of hard rock and progressive/alternative metal. The band puts emphasis on their attempt to write conceptual songs by arranging subtly-deep melodic overtones placed within polyrhythmic odd time signatures. These songs create a cinematic scope easily grasped by any listener, also appealing to listeners that strive to be challenged by music. Parts of songs sit comfortably in the pocket, while others build tension, exploding into anthemic choruses. Dynamic verses harness any aggression that was created previously and descend into spatial grooves and textural drones. The band's goal is to produce album-oriented songs that take their audience on a thematic journey to places in and out of harm's way.

Many of the world's technically proficient bands place an indelible mark on the members of INVERTA. Each band member explores within their musical range and influences, engaging the notion that form emerges between struggle and resistance. Their work is a satisfaction for the appetites of hard or progressive rock fans that appreciate musicality and musicianship, but the band also prides itself on its ability to write a strong chorus that fuses the audience and the band into one cohesive unit. Their devotion is strengthened by a driving force, striving for progression and accomplishment (as compiled from the bands website).

WILL CARROLL - Endless Cosmic Flight

I write songs, I sing them, I play them ....its what I do, its all I know. Can't help it...tried to quit, can't...its a disease…takes over your brain. I'm on a rock, hurling thru space, and this is what I do to pass the time...the winds of endless cosmic flight.....

Okay, I am from Connecticut, currently living in Texas ....and my 15th and 16th CD's ,"Steep Rock", and "On the Way" are now online for download and free listens. You can find selected tracks on I-Tunes, Napster and other music download sites.   Me?? In a family with ten kids, Irish-Sicilian tradition is you give one to the church, they picked me.!! So I spent some time at a monastery as a vow of silence was goin on ,very strange. But I couldn't close myself off like that, too hard. I didn't want to hide from reality, better to face it... Religion??? maybe not for me......

"Imagine there's no countries, It isn't hard to do, Nothing to kill or die for, And no religion too... Imagine all the people Living life in peace"... (John Lennon)

So I started a band with my friends ...played in a lot of bands with some now famous people, been on the same bill with Ringo Starr and All Stars (Joe Walsh, Todd Rundgren, Timothy B. Schmidt, Burton Cummings of Guess Who), Yes (with Rick Wakeman) ,J Geils, Gregg Allman, Joe Ely, Bonnie Raitt, NRBQ,…and Michael Bolton was lead guitar and singer for one of my earliest bands "Wheatfield Ash"..anyways...made some records ya know...traveled all over the place playin, havin fun...long story short, so now I'm down in Dallas Texas...playin out every now an then, working on some new songs, and life still goes on an on an on an on...... THE FLYING EYES - Psychedelic Blues!

The Flying Eyes are a heavy, psychedelic blues band hailing from Baltimore, Maryland. They took their name from a 1962 science fiction novel about giant, disembodied eyes that descend from outer space to control humanity.

In 2007, three long time friends (Adam, Mac and Elias) adopted Will as their lead singer, thus solidifying the lineup that would carry them forward. In the winter of 2008, they released the “Bad Blood EP” at a sold out show at The Talking Head Club in downtown Baltimore. That summer, they toured for the first time to Texas and back supporting this independent release.

Beginning in 2007, The Flying Eyes began throwing an annual summer festival entitled, “Farm Fest”, at The Carney Farm (owned by Jon Carney, first chair violinist for The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra) in Manchester, Maryland. By the 2009, Farm Fest had evolved from a large outdoor party into a popular underground happening, drawing 400 plus attendees. In 2009 they headlined the festival and released their newest work, the “Winter EP” at the event. Other performers included The Black Hollies, The Albertans and Vincent Black Shadow.

In the summer of 2009 The Flying Eyes embarked on a thirty-three day tour across the entire country playing at venues in New York, Nashville, Los Angeles and Chicago. After this great American odyssey, they were approached by german label Trip in Time Records (a sub label of World in Sound Records) to release both of their self produced EPs as a full length CD/LP. THE BLACK BEARDS - Rock and Roll!

The Black Beards are back, and rock more than ever! The bands first album “Rock and Roll” won prestigious criticism from the press and a full tour of concerts across the Balearic Islands, Spain.
The following is as compiled at this bands website: The Beards rock and roll again with a new album under their arms: ‘Southern Accents for a Rock Generation’. Crisp and sharp guitars, a powerful rhythm section, harmonicas, slide and Hammond, and words about life that spring from a young but hardened throat, all forming the distinctive elements of sound that exudes the aroma of genuine inspiration by growing up listening to bands like Led Zeppelin, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Black Crowes, Rolling Stones, Johnny Winter, Diamond Dogs (David Bowie), AC / DC, Jimmy Hendrix and many others.

HOT PANDA ~ WARNING-Adult Content

Hot Panda are just two boys and two girls from Edmonton trying to do the same thing they've always tried to do: play some kind of rock and roll that'll make people dance and feel happy...Simple stuff!

These kids -Maghan Campbell (drums), Chris Connelly (vocals, guitar), Catherine Hiltz (bass), and Heath Parsons (keys, accordion) - have toured so much in the past few years that their shabby van, $30 motel rooms, and stranger's floors feel more like home these days than their own beds. Since the release of their first EP (2008's Whale Headed Girl) and their subsequent signing to Vancouver's Mint Records, the band has zigged and zagged their raucous live show across North America (ok, minus Mexico, but still...) and Europe on planes, trains, and automobiles until they thought they might die!

They've snapped pictures of themselves under the Eiffel Tower, played on a stage once graced by the Beatles in Hamburg, and visited royal palaces in Vienna, all when they went on tour opening for the Von Bondies across Europe in April, 2009! They've also had wonderful times playing at festivals like SXSW in Austin, Texas, CMJ Music Marathon in New York, and North of the border at Pop Montreal, Halifax Pop Explosion, Sled Island in Calgary, and NXNE in Toronto. And along the way, they've played with lots of other bands they love, like Art Brut, The Raveonettes, Tokyo Police Club, Chad Van Gaalen, Electric 6, Crystal Antlers, and lots more. So, in short, it's been some kind of adventure!

How Come I'm Dead? (released on Mint Records October 12, 2010) draws inspiration from music's most random corners- the album has moments of dreamy noise, circus freak dance, heartbreaking country ballads with screeching metal guitar solos, lovely harmonies, psychadelic drones, and straight up pop/rock numbers. There's even a hip-hop track, which includes a bass scratch solo and enough f-bombs to earn them an adult content warning sticker. Awww yeah.(as compiled from the bands website)

SUBPLOT A - Tragic Romantic Mocku Fantasy

Who is Subplot A?

Arun Lakra is a writer masquerading as an eye surgeon.
He wrote a song to impress a girl.
She married him anyway.
So he put together a virtual band.
This is their debut album.

And to those generous individuals who contributed their time, energy, and immense talent to this improbable album, who put up with dumb questions and silly ideas, whose support and indulgence and unwarranted encouragement actually lifted this project off the ground, Arun says, What were you thinking???
And THANK YOU to...
Dana Crawford, Paul Distefano, Scott Henderson, Sonal Jogia, Bobby McAlister, Craig Newnes, Clea Roddick, Joel Schaefer, Wes Sutherland, Irene Tuazon, Emre Unal

What is Tragic Romantic Mocku Fantasy?IF THIS ALBUM WERE FOOD, the words would be the ice cream. The words would be one scoop each of chocolate chip cookie dough, triple tornado, and rocky road, with no vanilla for miles The music would be the cone… nice enough, but really, everybody knows it’s about the ice cream. Who orders just a cone? Except maybe Mozart. He had a thing for cones. And music. Without words (as compiled from Subplot A's website).

RED WATER - NO LIMITS!

There is a part of the population that is yearning for what is true in this life. People that WANT to wake up from the coma of illusion that has been forced upon us by many external forces. Can it be possible anymore in a world of increasingly forced and processed thought, that music SHOULDN'T be made and tested for the sole reason of becoming a product to sell to the masses?

A group of people that came together to break out of this mediocrity and suffering who are not afraid to take chances on any level--Adventurous song structures, diverse & eclectic sound, going wherever the music takes them but still keeping focus on melody and emotion--A group of musicians fully engaged in pushing the evolution of music while still keeping a solid footing in what has come before.

Four individuals that bring every conceivable emotion that is in ones soul to the music they create...They go by the name....REDWATER. In the simplest sense, they are a rock n' roll band that has an undying drive to create & to explore. There are no limits, and that's the way they like it.
