EIDETIC SEEING - Psychedelic Rock

Eidetic reduction is the stage subsequent to transcendental or phenomenological reduction and is sometimes viewed as the second stage of phenomenological reduction itself. Transcendental reduction lifts us to the transcendental realm, and turns empirical consciousness to transcendental or pure consciousness. Eidetic reduction of an act of transcendental consciousness penetrates to essence. It is a procedure for acquiring insight into essence and places us in cognitive contact with general or universal knowledge. The result of this reduction is a clearer and more distinct consciousness of the universal.  (as compiled on the bands website)

RUDER THAN YOU - SKA Rock

RUDER THAN YOU was founded in 1989 at Penn State University and relocated to Philadelphia in 1991. Long known as Philly’s top ska band, Ruder Than You’s identity has never fit too neatly into any single musical categorization. While ska and reggae stylings have always provided the common musical thread, over the past 20 years they've been mixing in dancehall reggae, rocksteady, funk, hip-hop, jazz..., and punk. The consistent factor however is the band’s energy and enthusiasm, which inevitably pulls people out onto the dance floor. (as compiled on the bands website)

Robbery .. ? Music rights .. ? WTF?

Okay... just a thought.  I posted a movie on YouTube that I produced, that had music from well over 70 years ago, music from a German copyright way back when, which is not covered by copyright changes in the American copyright law.... (in other words, no one actually could own the rights legalistically speaking) however, that movie was pulled from YouTube for copyright conflict, due to an English company that claimed rights (although they don't actually own the rights)  Okay, I adore what YouTube has done for the regular dude in promotion and all, but, my movie was pulled even though the copyright laws no longer applied, where as you can hear so many full albums from bands where it is more than obvious that copyrights are in place, yet, with millions of hits, it seems YouTube is missing the fine points of vigilance.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rjT7DSslP5wEct...(I could go on, I found multitudes of bands, Doors, Yes, King Crismson, blah, blah, blah..., I hope my point is made- what's going on here..?  (hell I'm not even a fan of Phil Collins and I'm just saying...)

THE DOTS - Alternative / Pop Punk / Powerpop

The Dots were simply the best band in New York City from the late seventies to the mid eighties. Led by guitarist Rick Garcia, a prolific songwriter who has been described as 'dangerously brilliant', the star of the band was lead singer Jimmi Quidd, formerly James Hatzidimitriou, who attended high school in Athens, Greece with rock solid bass player Leigh Sioris. These three made up the core of the Dots and were joined by a number of top NY musicians for different periods of the bands history including Alison East, Jimmy Agnello, Nat Seeley, Vinnie Signorelli, Billy Bell, Al Maddy and Jeff Formosa. Their songs were finely crafted punk-pop with clever lyrics and unforgettable hooks. With a sound like the Move at their best the band often opened with 'I Can Hear the Grass Grow' before crusing through a one hour set of perfect 3 minute songs, played at high volume and high energy.  (as compiled on the bands website)

MENHIRS OF ER GRAH - From Here To You

Thom Carter returns to his folk roots under the moniker Menhirs of Er Grah for a fourth album of love songs and tales from the heart.

With nods to Jackson Browne, Nick Drake, Supertramp and Bob Dylan, bristling with the energy of acoustic guitars and cranked, smokey pedal-steel, keys, bass and drums, ‘From Here to You’ is an album rich in emotional song-writing and melody. Ripe with nostalgia, memories of lost love, and the cutting, double-edged wit and optimism that made his last release (‘Billy Cross’s Daughter’) a candidate for such critical acclaim, this is an album to listen to time and again. ABSENT ME - Alternative / Progressive / Rock

Formed in 2000 by Brian Rogers(singer), and Curtis Harvey(guitar), Absent Me is a 4 man Progressive rock band from Sacramento Ca. In 2002, the jazz sound was injected with the addition of Job(bass), only to complete the ultimate capabilities in 2004 when Don(drums) joined to write and record all new music for a full length L.P., entitled "Hate To Wake You" , released September 2006.

Brian developed his haunting mix of melody and primal scream after 8 years of vocal training, 13 years of composing, and co-founding the 90's alt rock band Above.  Don's been in the Sacramento scene since the late 80's with bands like I.G.D., Diesel, OTIS, F.R.E.D., BFE. and MDSO, he is a hard hitting drummer with thundering chops and a commanding presence on any stage.  Curtis has been formally trained in Jazz and Classical guitar styles, has been playing guitar for 19 years, and composing for 12. He has a Degree in Composition from the University of Oregon and is a combination of academic precision and soulful creativity.  Job is a bass instructor with 15 years playing rock & metal bass, and a Lifetime of freeform, abstract, and fusion-based jazz through Dallas and Austin, TX in the 90's until finally settling with Absent Me in 2002. He plays the bass with a unique multi-timbred right hand style that matches perfectly with the skull folding rhythms from Don, the huge waves and subtle sonic nuances of Curtis, and the gripping effect of Brians primal scream.  (as compiled on the bands website)

Spaced out medieval heavy power fuzz rock is what they give you…Embrace…turn off the TV and embrace…let your body and brain observe and digest the otherworldly goodness that is the GROAN…let your mind explode into a million crystals of righteousness…let your denim fade with honour.

KATRIN THE THRILL - Evil Eye Charm!

The story behind the music: Katerina Panopoulou started creating music as a teenager with friends, and that's when she got the bug. One year later when the fledgling band broke up, she got herself her first electric guitar and wrote her own songs.  In 2001 she moved to England to study music. Two years later, back in Greece she teamed up with guitarist Gina Dimakopoulou, violinist Katerina Michailidi, bassist Iakovos Siaparinas, drummer Dimitris Panagiotopoulos and formed the band Dementia Praecox. After many live performances, she moved to London to further her studies. During her stay in London, she performed as a solo acoustic artist.  In 2007 under the indissoluble name Katrin the Thrill, she participated in the Coca Cola Soundwave competition and won a place among the 5 best music acts. The video clip of the song "If You Believe in Dreams" was shot and the track was included in the "Music on the Coke side of Life" compilation.

In 2009, following the devastating fires that swept through Greece, as well as many other places around the world, the concept for "Earth Is Calling Us" EP was devised, and the need to take action and help reforestation was fully realized. In December 2010, "Earth Is Calling Us" was released as her first solo project with Gina on guitar, Maria Roka on bass and Tolis Toleas on drums. The EP is dedicated to the earth and the environment and part of the proceeds goes towards the reforestation of the burned forests of Greece. In January 2012 the first reforestation was successfully completed.

In December 2011, after eight months of intensive studio work, her new album was ready to be released, but an unfortunate event postponed everything; at the last minute the record label deal broke down and all production costs needed to be covered for the album to see the light of day. A successful Indiegogo online campaign was organized, and Katrin's fans raised over $2,000 to bring her unique vision, "Evil Eye Charm" to reality. Her new album "Evil Eye Charm", is set to be released on September 10, 2012. (as compiled on the bands website)

    'Roll With The Punches'

16th JUNE sees the release of the brand new classic rock single 'Roll With The Punches' from the powerhouse rocker that is Jac Dalton

Taken from the Australian based American Jac Dalton's new and third full album 'Can't Unrock Me', which is up for release later this summer, 'Roll With The Punches' is a sweet little rock n roll taster of what's to come from this storming new album.

Jac Dalton:  "this is the first album that is entirely US (no hired guns or studio player fillers) - so what you hear is EXACTLY what the Jac Dalton band sounds like together.  It was recorded LIVE with all band members playing in separate booths at the same time - which is what gives each song its semi-live, phat, crunchy, slightly loose feeling - reminiscent of tracking and recording styles of the iconic bands of the 70s"

    Unified Past’s Blog

FRAUDSTER Guy Lacombe (BSM) is an evil man & now wanted by the police!

Who is Guy Lacombe? He appeared on the music scene in late May of 2013. He started posting on numerous Facebook sites about his music promotion company, Backstage Montreal Enr.
This was right around the time we were releasing our CD “Spots”. We saw his posts on numerous sites and even heard him talking about his company and what they have to offer on a popular internet radio show “Inside The Music”, hosted by our label owner. We saw he was working with one of our label mates - and this made us feel pretty good about working with Guy Lacombe. I made contact with him, as we were really looking for someone who could promote our new record and reach and establish new contacts for us. The whole networking portion of the business is extremely time consuming and we thought it would be great if someone could do that for us so that we could concentrate on the performing of the music and the creation of new music. He even said he could help us find a keyboard player, which we were desperately looking for so we could play live. He seemed to be able to do everything we could not. At this time of contact, we already had gotten the ball rolling with the promotion of “Spots” all by oursleves. We had mailed out over 50 press kits. We discussed with Guy our belief that our music would be a good fit in Japan and South America - and guess what? He quickly told us that he agreed and without a doubt he could get our music into the right hands in those countries.
A few days later, Guy sent us a review (a wonderful review), which was posted on Clair and Obscur: http://www.clairetobscur.com/article-unified-past-spots-118660746.html
Guy told us that this writer was his business partner and head of BSM’s France Division - not sure but something tells me that was B.S! In fact, Guy LaCombe took advantage of this writer as well! He said that this review was just the tip of the iceberg for what they could do for us. He said he had a network of thousands of music contacts around the world! “WOW - this is awesome” we thought. He suckered us in with that review and that is where we made our mistake.  We signed a deal for 6 months - Guy said he only does deals for a minimum of a year commitment, but I told him we didn’t have the resources nor did we think we could promote Spots for an entire year. So he cut us a “BREAK”. and we signed a deal for 6 months. Over those 6 months we wound up with 1 radio interview and one review courtesy of Guy Lacombe’s “Hard Work”.  read more ; http://www.unifiedpast.com/unified_past/Blog/Entries/2013/12/3_FRAUDSTERGuyLacombe%28BSM%29isanevilman%26nowwantedbythepolice!.html

RED HUSH - Hard Kickin' Rock N Roll, from Rome, NY

Well known for on and off stage antics, criticized by club owners, managers and booking agents alike for their crude behavior, bringing their own booze to shows, smashing gear on stage, being late, starting late, fighting, swearing, speaking their minds or just overboard partying.  One thing is for sure, the music that Redhush gave always rose to the top and always aimed to please their fans.....AS OFFENSIVE AS U CAN BE!!!!
