As a third generation violinist, James has been classically trained since the age of 4. Despite this classical upbringing, James is inherently drawn to Alternative Rock, Progressive Rock, Fusion, and Electronica – influenced by bands ranging from Nine Inch Nails, Jane’s Addiction, Chemical Brothers, and System of a Down to Mahavishnu Orchestra, Pink Floyd, and King Crimson.
James has adapted his classical training to significantly change the violin’s sound, capabilities, and applications and has been influenced specifically by rock guitarists. These influences include Jimi Hendrix, Vernon Reid, John McGlaughlin, and Dave Navarro. Playing through a Marshall half-stack amplifier, James uses a combination of sounds ranging from clean melody lines to heavy rhythm sections to completely altered and distorted feedback and sound effects (all as compiled from the James Sudakow's website).

HEAVY WATER EXPERIMENTS - Thunderous Stoner rock
Striving beyond retro-revivalism toward any and all sounds avant-psychedelic, Heavy Water Experiments dares originality and eclecticism. From mellow and acoustic to heavy and dark, from ethereal psych folk to thunderous stoner rock, HWE achieves an atypical confluence of mainstream and experimentation. Classic rock influences may abound, but so many media voices have never drawn comparisons to the same artists or group of artists—at least some testament to HWE’s uniqueness.
To date, the band has toured the US, the UK (twice), Holland, and Belgium. In and around Los Angeles, the band has played a wide range of venues from Spaceland, The House of Blues, and The Viper Room to more acoustic-oriented venues like The Hotel Cafe, which culminated in being chosen as one of Amoeba Records' local picks and a more recent write-up in OC Weekly.
The band is fronted by singer, songwriter, guitarist, keyboardist, bassist, and producer David Melbye, an LA native whose past bands/projects include Ludivine, Fuzz Beloved, and Zanzibar. His creative/artistic partner Roberto Salguero, originally from El Salvador, plays drums and percussion (compiled from the bands website).

AARDVARK RECORDS - Fair Trade Record Label and Music Publishers
Aardvark Records Ltd is one of the rising stars of the UK music industry. We are a staunchly independent record label with a growing roster of original, new talent covering a variety of music genres.
Aardvark’s directors bring over 30 years’ combined music industry experience to the group. This experience covers music & studio production, artiste management, music sales and A&R. While we are never ones to make a song and dance about it, our roster of acts currently enjoy sales and radio play around the globe. They also enjoy the respect and praise of hardened music lovers, journalists and industry insiders.
Aardvark is a Fair Trade record label and music publisher. This goes beyond ensuring our artists receive a higher than industry average royalty split. It also means we do our best to ensure that expenses are handled responsibly and are kept to a reasonable level.
In-house we have some of the brightest minds in online and digital media marketing...and we've racked up a series of firsts. We were one of the first record labels to use podcasting. We were one of the first labels to support internet radio. Other firsts include: providing music videos to YouTube, Google Video, Singingfool, ROO TV and a host of other online music video entertainment wesbites; providing full tracks on MySpace, Reverb Nation, Bebo and Last.fm; setting up a blog to share our thoughts about music industry developments and news; and using widgets for people to share our music and our videos with their mates.
Recent audio content provision deals such as the one struck with the gaming company Audio-Surf, is a continuation of our ethos...making music for the people - and not for our accountants.
We're not about big advertising spend or huge marketing budgets or telling people what to buy in order to look cool. We're just about adventures in music (as compiled from Aardvark's website).

THE SEED - R & B/ Funk / Rock
The Seed is a group of talented twenty-somethings currently hailing from southwest Virginia (U.S.A.). Newly formed as of the Fall of 2005, The Seed began as a reggae/rock-infused trio. Since then, the group has set out to create a tactful array of soulfully crafted, melodically smooth gems that would not only incite listener appeal but would also provoke deeper thought on issues of societal development, personal growth and the direction of the youth of today.
It is the band's intent to make music that makes you feel good or just feel, period. Reggae and R&B, Funk and Rock - multiple styles of music have brought inspiration to the band throughout the years. Such influences can be heard in the stylings of The Seed's repertoire as their rhythms touch upon many different genres.

BUDDHA SENTENZA - Screaming Solo’s and Cosmic Harmonies
After a seemingly random sonic collision over the city of Heidelberg in late 2008, the constellation of *Buddha Sentenza* began to form during the darkest hours of that cold and silent winter. Deep under the earth, in the hidden bowels of the Klonlabor tunnel complex, the searing strings and pounding drums condensed rapidly to form a nebulous cloud of loosely jammed, spaced-out, rocking riffs. Rotating freely around some of the most ancient soundscapes – from the astral end of the Pink Floyd to the depths of distant galaxies such as Black Sabbath – Buddha Sentenza has continued to expand while drawing energy from contemporary constellations.
Thus, its elements follow the trail of early rock psychonauts and modern riffrockers alike, fusing droning riffs, screaming solos and cosmic harmonies into an instrumental sound experience that defies any strict genre boundaries. The result is a texture that combines the raw massiveness of rock with the infinite possibilities of outer space.
Members are:
General Punishment – Guitar
Baa Baa Blacksheep – Guitar / Violin
Munro Merthahens – Bass
Jesus Malverde – Drums / Percussion
Pontifex Maximus – Organ / Synthesizer

EARLSTOWN WINTER - Sweet-Loving Country Music
Vancouver folk-country artists Earlstown Winter released their five-track EP, which plays much in the same vein of local group Eldorado with their brand of sweet-loving country music. The opening track, “Porch Lights”, is a slow burning moody ballad about lost love. It has a gentle, rolling, organic feel that is a perfect introduction to the band. Porch Lights is a very laidback affair. Each song is stripped back in terms of sound, but they don’t suffer for it. Singer-songwriter Jonathan Truefitt makes it all worth listening to. Truefitt has such a unique voice that one must hear to believe, as nothing is really comparable to it. Even with a single listen, anyone would be convinced that this guy’s broken heart is authentic.
The final track “Helena” is quite beautiful and is guaranteed to get a tear rolling down the cheek of those listeners with a freshly broken heart. Not something that regularly comes out of the Vancouver scene, Earlstown Winter has an unpretentious, soft and thoroughly gentle sound. There is nothing abrasive or earth shattering here—just some very pretty music. ~ Discorder Magazine Review of Porch Lights EP March 2010

LEE NEGIN interviews @ Pluto Radio - Coming soon!
Greetings All, I hope you are all well and happy. I uploaded a new video, "Dream Time," my second collaboration with Swiss Shamanic artist Seelenflug. Please check it out, click on "like," and leave a lovely comment
"Hearing this artist's expertly produced work is to experience a vision aimed beyond the realm of pop. ...Negin never offers the same sound twice, employing singers as ensemble instruments and working with sounds in a way that reminds us at times of Brian Eno, Aphex Twin and Wendy Carlos."

I now have a page on Psychedelic-Traveller.net, a Wikipedia style guide to international psychedelic music
My new CD, "Hungry Ghosts" continues to get very positive reviews and international radio airplay. In the latest review in Music Connection magazine (April Issue), the reviewer said,
"Hearing this artist's expertly produced work is to experience a vision aimed beyond the realm of pop. ...Negin never offers the same sound twice, employing singers as ensemble instruments and working with sounds in a way that reminds us at times of Brian Eno, Aphex Twin and Wendy Carlos."

THE HILLMISTERS - Shimmering & Melodic Experimentation
The Hillmisters formed as an emerging friendship, fellow spirits looking to make shimmering alternative pop sounds like those which excited them so. A joyous sound of noisy, melodic, messy guitar pop with healthy doses of feedback and experimentation. It is bands like The Velvet Underground, The Kinks, The 13th Floor Elevators that are all staple diets for these guys, but influences are certainly far ranging. Arising from Southend in Essex the magic is between the eyes, the sun and moon.

VESTASCENSION - Ambient/Progressive/Dream Rock
What is Vestascension? Simply put, it's a group of close friends that have set out to make music we would enjoy listening to. Instead of taking this bio to tell you what we think we are, we'll tell you what we know we are not. We're not asking for your money. We're not trying to pull the wool over your eyes. We don't preview one single in hopes you will buy our album filled with nine other crappy tracks. We give you all of it. For free. We just hope you enjoy the songs as much as we enjoy creating them. If we happen to start collecting a few fans along the way, then that will be amazing. We will be extremely grateful to have you listening. What else is there to say? THE AXEHEAD JOURNAL @ Pluto Radio!
THE AXEHEAD JOURNAL is a London-based rock-blog act, with its own brand of high-powered sludge, stoner, punk, and heavy-rock grooves with smoother folk, trip hop, and orchestral/soundscapes influences.
The whole journey starts in 2006-7 as a kind of experimental, wacky project with a loose gonzo journalism theme to it, culminating with the release of the debut album 'Tabloid Rock' in 2008, which receives subsequent radio airplay in UK, France and Canada and attention from underground media.
From there Guigz and the first trio line-up shoot the video THE END OF OIL with creature-crazy movie director Julien Vray and actress Al as Lady Oil and start promoting the album live. A new 'power-trio' band is later put together for shows throughout 2009-10 with avant-guarde bassist Toots, multi-instrumentalist Stevie K on drums and Guigz on Guitar and lead vocals duties. During that intense period, the band adds additional depth and a thicker groove feel to the project, recording 5 songs with London-based engineer/producer Yan Gilbert-Miguet, which forms the basis of the PERFECT HELL EP.
2010-11 propels THE AXEHEAD JOURNAL to a newer and more radical direction, where the project morphs into the 'first rock-blog act' focusing on the release of the 'baddest' music on a 'rolling basis'.
Through passion, hard work and resilience, THE AXEHEAD JOURNAL has become 'rock for the digital age' as the experimentation goes on with new formats and collaborations, with songs like 'Riding To Destiny' (with Windsurfer ace Jan Sleigh) or '24/7' (a folky stoner track), going full circle and realising the project's vision of a truly innovative, alternative and disruptive rock band.

CYNICISM MANAGEMENT - Global Domination!
Cynicism Management is a brainchild of seasoned musicians who keep getting even more seasoned with every passing year, but who have, to date, nevertheless failed to write any worldwide hit singles. Hence their latest endeavour – Cynicism Management, the newest attempt at global domination.
The scheme started out in late 2008 as an experiment – the whole affair was to be an "ongoing online literary musical". At its core, the idea was quite simple: to gradually write a fictional "blog" that would, hopefully, eventually develop into a kind of a novel. As the novel was to focus on the epic tales of a band called Cynicism Management, the blog would also contain original tracks written and recorded by this fictional band. Should the idea gain more momentum, any additional materials produced in the context of this project would be included in the "blog / novel", ideally resulting in a comprehensive work of, perhaps, interesting dimensions and format (as compiled from the bands website).

THE NOTHINGDOERS - Folk / Indie / Lounge
The Nothingdoers are a Moscow band formed in 2004 by Igor Ivanov (guitars, vocals, keyboards) and George Manaev (guitars, bass, vocals), also known by monikers Harry Johnson and George Manson, respectively. The Nothingdoers play contemporary folk-rock oriented music with English lyrics.
Because of the appalling situation with independent music recordings in Russia, The Nothingdoers cling to the principles of DIY in their recordings and in the process of album promotion, so they still remain unsigned and plan to continue releasing their future recordings under the Creative Commons license.
Starting their collaboration as a two-guitar act, the guys recorded their first two albums, “The Unplugged Room Of Killed Time” (2004) and “Tonight” (2005) using cheap mics and home PCs. After 2005, Igor and George played together in some indie-rock and punk bands, improving their skills as stage performers and then got back to their home studios to record their third full-length album, “Twenty Past Sixteen” (2008), which is now available for free download on the Web, at the bands website.
In Fall 2009 The Nothingdoers again began making live appearances in Moscow and St. Petersburg venues, performing songs from “Twenty Past Sixteen” and some new stuff from the upcoming record, which is going to feature over 10 tracks in various genres. The Nothingdoers’ musical influences include such artists as Beck, Micah P. Hinson, Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin, Sonic Youth, Kings Of Convenience (as compiled from the bands website).

TRIGON - Psychedelic Fushion Jam
After it became a bit quiet to the power three from Karlsruhe, there is now again a sign of life. Matching "2011" is the latest Studio album, the first album since the Zappanale DVD from 2007.
‘2011’ represents a kind of retrospective of previous work. With a new lineup and renovated band sound, Trigon now presents the best of their work in the final versions. Due to the 'new' sound the album sounds super, transparent and is waiting just for headphone fans with some surprises such as channel separation and surround-effect like deposits. Mix and mastering were in the best hands of EROC.

THE BOXETTES - Sundrenched Harmonics!
The Boxettes are an all-female vocal group based in London . Their distinctive sound makes fine use of the complementing styles of their voices: Alyusha, Yvette, Neo and Harriet, and current World Female Beatbox Champion Bellatrix- all combining to evocative and powerful effect.
Since forming at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 2007, the band have played nearly every festival in England, put on several shows in France, and toured India. Closer to home, The Boxettes have put on shows at some of London’s finest venues, including Ministry of Sound and the Queen Elizabeth Hall. The Boxettes have built up a fierce reputation in the past year, establishing themselves on the Chai Wallahs 2010 tour as one of the most exciting emerging bands in the UK.
The Boxettes have an unconventional a-capella sound with tight beatbox work set against dreamy, sundrenched harmonics- as each of the girls take turns in either narrating over a melody, providing chord work, beatboxing or fx sounds with their mouths. The Boxettes are by now well used to the expressions of disbelief in audience faces- the extended vocal techniques of their five members combining to elicit an enormous sound, as visceral as it is delicate, performed with swagger as well as good nature (as compiled from the bands website).

BLOOD RUBY - Haunting Melodies!
Blood Ruby creates atmospheric alternative music somewhere in the vein of dream pop, ethereal, and neoprogressive rock. The band's two subtly emotive female vocalists ply a range that spans from lyrical, sweet mezzo, to smoky, jazz-rooted alto, delivering haunting melodies and crafted lyrics full of evocative imagery and cinematic storytelling. Spacious mixing and production lend prismatic detail to the music's lush instrumentation. The result is a textured, layered sound that takes listeners on an ambient, often dark, and sometimes epic journey through drifting landscapes of emotion, strange places, and complex characters (all as compiled from the bands website).
Blood Ruby is:
Cynthia Conrad (vocals)
Margaret Browning (vocals, bass, guitar, keyboards)
Thomas Wall (vocals, guitar, bass, keyboards, programming, engineering)

THE GRAND ASTORIA - Timeless Rock!
"A very Psychedelic Stoner rock meets classic Hard Rock group... The Psychedelia comes in the form of a early 70's punkish, garage attitude but its brilliantly blended with some great fuzzy guitar work through some really long extended instrumental jams and Psychedelic musical trips... The album kicks off with a 14 minute or around that length, melodic instrumental titled 'Enjoy The View'. Along with some great cruising laid back Psychedelic atmosphere, the track slowly climbs and is always building and forever gaining in the fuzz department, there is some truly spectacular guitar work in the track. The tune's atmosphere is also enhanced by some Russian spoken word samples that sound like astronauts reporting their findings back to planet earth……
The feeling I get is this band must really kick ass live. The songs have a live jamming quality which is perfect for live performances and this band really know their way around a guitar. This is one of those albums that is easy listening at any time of the day or night but it also rocks hard in places and the fuzz-based sound is unique for a Russian band...
There is a lot to be said for writing quality songs that will stand the test of time and The Grand Astoria have got that covered. Rather than showing off or kicking musical ass just to sound heavy, this band write songs that are already within the realms of timeless rock. Half instrumental, half with vocals but all solid, this is worth checking out. (Score: 8.5/10)"
– by Ed Barnard of Doommantia (USA) (July 2010) (as compiled from the bands website).

MUSASHI TRIO - The Real Deal!
Musashi "Moose" Lethridge has been composing, performing and recording blues, ska, funk, heavy metal, punk, and jazz in the SF bay area for over twenty five years. His eclectic, musical interests grew out of a rainbow of Japanese, African and Native American cultures. Funk and Blues best the describes sound and style of The Musashi Trio, although Musashi has been known to explore other genres of music as a guitar player. Musashi "Moose" Lethridge has also played and shared the stage with: Jeff "Skunk" Baxter, Todd Rundgren, Scott Page, D Lite, The Pharcyde, Fishbone, Critical Mass, The Berkeley Chill Factor, The Steve Gannon Blues Band, and many more..
His approach to "live" playing stems from an attitude that would satisfy the old school method. When asked about the topic of modern day music, which is based heavily on the aid of computer programming technology, his reply, “ …I need to draw the line between REAL live instruments and "other" kinds of instruments: A REAL live instrument cannot make a sound while unattended...ya gotta play it LIVE! “
The Musashi Trio is the real deal and you can hear them live dishing up some classic SRV, Jimi Hendrix, The Meters and some original Funk and Blues (as compiled from the bands website).
The Musashi Trio:
Musashi "Moose" Lethridge - guitar/vocals/songwriter
Ken Roussell - Bass
Jim Richards - Drums

GHOSTS OF EDEN - Do You Believe in Ghosts?
"Great, melodic grunge rock with a vibe that's a total throwback to the good ole' days of the 90's, when flannel was in, the Towers were still standing, and we all still harbored a slight distrust for the Russians." - Some dude
"As of now Ghosts of Eden are unsigned, but I predict that it won't be long at all before the record label bidding wars begin." - A Geek Girl, Blog Critics
"Ghosts Of Eden are a band to keep your eye on. With a growing fan base in the US and also a new fan base here in the UK, the band are on the up to make an impact." - Michael Hughes, Founder, EspyRock.com
"Ghosts of Eden are the hottest band to come out of New York in at least a decade." - Interviews From The Edge, Technorati.com
"Have a listen to Ignorance and Lies by Ghosts of Eden and judge for yourself. With one listen I'm sure you'll be just as blown away as I was. With two listens you won't be able to stop pushing the play button."
- Tricia Weight, The Examiner

THE BEAT DOLLS - Rock / Punk /Ska
As a result of the break up of SkateAroundChippy in 2004, a Dallas punk/ska band, lead singer and song writer, Angie Munsey was determined to continue with her music aspirations and immediately began writing songs and searching for band members for her new project… The Beat Dolls., an upbeat rock n’ roll band w/punk and ska influences, mixing her love of rock n’roll and 1940’s female singing groups.
In 2009 with a fresh attitude and some lessons learned, Angie began her journey toward the new and improved Beat Dolls. w/a supportive new line up, the band began playing shows in Austin & San Antonio and people have begun to take notice. With the band’s strong determination, The Beat Dolls. should have no problem achieving the goals they’ve set for themselves’, where the sky is the limit. (as compiled from the bands website).

PILGRIM SPEAKEASY - Musical Maverick!
"....Now, rather excitingly, the musical maverick is back. Empowered by the internet, a new generation of musicians can be as experimental as they like without having to worry about how it sounds to an A&R man. One such artist is Pilgrim Speakeasy, who combines the funkadelics of Parliament with a political and mystical message, the likes of which HOLV has never heard..." Heaven or Las Vegas Music Magazine
"experimental and creative, the melding of funk sounds with world music and hard rock into a celebration of musical exploration. I like this disc a lot – and if you give it a chance, you probably will, too"
Gary Hill, Music Street Journal
A chemical / emotional experiment based on the introduction of PILGRIM SPEAKEASY music to random ears was carried out, the results are as follows:
"your music's fucking genius ! reminded me a bit of funkadelic, awesome stuff ~~ Funk-rock WITHOUT seams? I guess we have it now! You can really do that classic rock and retro funk sound without sounding forced or fake! Keep rockin, and keep progressing :-D Stay up ~~ Man, this slightly hybidized stuff you do really works! I find myself in many different places, landscapes, listening to these pieces, and that's always a very interesting function of good music. ~~ You've got the soul! Intoxicating stuff.! ~~ beautifull original music!!!! ~~ Tight tunes, that's some raw originality fella. ~~ You've got that classic experimental space prog that's been missing (all as compiled from Pilgrim Speakeasy’s website)
