Pluto Radio # 00036

Okay, again, we are posting archival shows on YouTube.  The way YouTube seems to have it, their system, in place the bands we play within our shows appear to receive money from ads... Our commercial free stream has never taken a dollar from the shows we produce, and, we are delighted that when we post these Pluto Radio Archival Shows on YouTube, the music on our shows get payment sent to the bands within those shows, at least, the bands who have monetized there songs.  I do not fully understand the process, regardless, I do understand that musicians are getting paid for their efforts, which, is amazing.  Thank you YouTube for that!  Thing is...  whoever wants to listen to our post Pluto Radio # 00036, unfortunately, it has been restricted in Saint Pierre and Miquelon for reasons we are unaware of - our apologies to any of our listeners in those regions of the planet.

"Karn Evil 9 is one of my most favorite songs ever.  Mr. Emerson was beyond any standard of musical play, and, we are fortunate to enjoy the music he has created for our entertainment."  - =-00  ZL: :LEE

Page #3 - no more...

We no longer post page #3 on the PlutoRadio.com website.  When we went on the air some years ago, it was not easy to find band information, but, with the onslaught of online music outlets for bands, Youtube, and a general savvy gained in the area of self promotion, it is now a simple quick process to search for your favorite Pluto Radio band.  Most search engines gain results in seconds.  Therefore, we no longer post band lists here at the commercial free Pluto Radio zone.   Our on air personalities always give the name of the band within the context of the show.  After all, it's radio, you have to listen to experience the process.   Just sayin'.

Pluto Radio # 00027

We are in process of posting archival Pluto Radio commercial free shows.  Pluto Radio # 00027 contains one of my all time favorite songs, I Am The Walrus by Spooky Tooth.  For some unknown reason this song is not permitted to be played via YouTube in the country of Germany.  My apologies to our German fans who let us know they could not get this video...  Unfortunately, YouTube's system allows for some and not all for reasons I do not understand.  Please know I am trying to get a universal alternative rock vibe beamed to the entire planet.  Doing the best we can via the distant region of Pluto.

Gordon Duthie

Gordon Duthie
GORDON DUTHIE TAKES COMEDY DETOUR ON ROUTE TO NEXT MUSIC PROJECT
ABERDEENSHIRE MUSIC ARTIST SPOOFS RADIO, PODCASTS, ADVERTS AND HIMSELF
Aberdeenshire music artist - Gordon Duthie - has released an audio comedy show on his website which spoofs syndicated radio, podcasts, adverts / commercials and his artistic persona.  The "The Epic Reality Radio Fails Podcast - North East Radio" is available as a free download and reveals another side to Gordon's creative writing versatility.  This change of direction takes some influence from his past music projects - "Shire and City" and "Multimedia Monster" - and hints at a future deviation from his perceived melancholy sound.

The premise of the show is as follows:  A week ago today (13th of January) in 1913 the first radio broadcast was transmitted from The Metropolitan Opera House in New York, showcasing performances of the classic Cavalleria Rusticana and Pagliacci operas.  Today, internet troll - Johan "The Code" Cracker - breaks new ground by hosting the "The Epic Reality Radio Fails Podcastwhich now means "you don't need a screen to laugh at a deluded dream".  Inspired by the revolving media circus door of disposable reality culture, "The Epic Reality Radio Fails Podcast" provides a "regular reality hilarity fix" within the previously untapped radio broadcast market, moving away from the traditional public humiliation format of reality television.  In this featured episode, Johan has somehow found a failed pilot radio show produced by North East Radio, who are the Aberdeen / Aberdeenshire arm of a UK wide syndicated radio network owned by a multinational media company.  The failed pilot also had an unlikely host, the struggling Scottish music artist Gordon Duthie, who had accepted a shock offer to host this new show after finding himself broke, disillusioned and out of ideas.  A recipe for disaster which provoked one of Johan's signature catchpharses;  "Epic Reality Radio Fail Alert!"

Running Order:

1. The Epic Reality Radio Fails Podcast - North East Radio
2. “The Odor Neutralizer Grenade” Commercial
3. Interview with Zac Radke – Music’s Money Making Machine
4. “Dude I Hate My Rich Dad” Movie Trailer
5. North East News
6. A Chat with Clichy about Football
7. “Cash for Blow” Commercial
8. A Very Scottish Christmas
9. Will We Ever Hear from Him Again?
10. “Shave(r) Grater” Commercial

"The Epic Reality Radio Fails Podcast - North East Radio" features a multinational cast and can also be streamed on sites such as SoundCloud and YouTube.

About Gordon Duthie

Gordon began producing his self-funded debut album - "Shire and City" - seriously in 2008 and it was released to the general public in July 2012. The album attracted critical praise from music journalists for it's original and eclectic style and was featured on multinational media outlets such as STVThe Scotsman and Altsounds as well as local media publications such as the Evening Express and numerous newspapers distributed across North East Scotland by Johnston Press.
Gordon has appeared as the featured guest on both Waves Radio and Spark Sunderland which are FM Radio Stations in the UK. Songs from "Shire and City" have also received FM radio airplay across the world including the UK, USA, Canada, Italy and so on.

Gordon began writing and preparing his second music project immediately after the release of "Shire and City". One of the principle aims of the project was to improve the production level of the songs. To do this he invested in some new high level equipment and spent a day at Steve Mason's (The Beta Band King Biscuit Time / Black Affair) KronK Studio in Fife to learn new production techniques.

Released in August 2013, "Multimedia Monster" has attracted critical praise from music journalists for it's original and eclectic style and has been featured in multinational media outlets such as The Daily Record. Songs from "Multimedia Monster" have also received radio airplay globally, appearing on broadcasts such as Jim Gellatly's Amazing Radio show.

Drop Alive on PlutoRadio.com

Welcome!
My name is Simon, I' m an independent Italian songwriter.  "Drop Alive", my first musical experiment, is a self-produced album that came out in 2007.  On it I sang/played everything but the drums, which were recorded by my good friend and workmate Antonio "Ardog" Ricchiuti.

Much to our surprise, Drop Alive's music has reached people from all over the world, thanks to podcasters, the music press, and many websites such as the above-mentioned.
But most of all t
hanks to music lovers like you!  Right now I' m recording a new project which will be unveiled later this year, still producing everything myselfIt will be once again available to you as a free download!

I hope you' ll get in touch and show your support.

Much love!
Simon

Buddha Sentenza ..

After a seemingly random sonic collision over the city of Heidelberg in late 2008, the constellation of *Buddha Sentenza* began to form during the darkest hours of that cold and silent winter. Deep under the earth, in the hidden bowels of the Klonlabor tunnel complex, the searing strings and pounding drums condensed rapidly to form a nebulous cloud of loosely jammed, spaced-out, rocking riffs.
Rotating freely around some of the most ancient soundscapes – from the astral end of the Pink Floyd to the depths of galaxies such as Black Sabbath – Buddha Sentenza has continued to expand, drawing energy from contemporary constellations as well. Thus, its elements follow the trail of early rock psychonauts and modern riffrockers alike, fusing droning riffs, screaming solos and cosmic harmonies into an instrumental sound experience that defies any strict genre boundaries. The result is a texture that combines the raw massiveness of rock with the infinite possibilities of outer space. (as compiled on the bands website)

Greetings everyone,

Thanks for downloading the sampler via Noisetrade! I'm just finishing a new album for release in September on Yep Roc. I promise you something new and unexpected and I say that with total confidence. And if you enjoyed Pieces of the Past, the unreleased new song on the sampler, in fact its title track, you'll find a fully orchestrated version of that on the new record too, along with many other brand new songs. The Cabinet of Wonders continues to record and broadcast: please check us out at jwhcabinetofwonders.com. NPR versions of recent Cabinets of Wonder can be heard HERE. Also, if you enjoyed the sampler, can I also recommend the Making Love To Bob Dylan 12" single, which I think you'll enjoy a lot.

Best wishes
wes
