Solitude Within ..

A soundtrack to the movies you imagine, Solitude Within is progressive rock with layered epics and dark ambient touches.
As a solo-project started by Dutch-born Lucas Wetzels to express the musical side of his ever busy mind, Solitude Within explores a labyrinth where architecture, philosophy and music are intertwined and always cross paths. Writing, production, mixing and album artwork are all done by Lucas, ceaselessly trying to capture dark moods and sweeping musical landscapes. The result is atmospheric and layered progressive rock/metal with a cinematographic touch.

Hungry… This is perhaps the most accurate way to describe the culmination of musicians that manifests in the form of Barefoot Fred. Through constant self challenge, Barefoot Fred continues to push the limits of songwriting and live performance. With a dedication to quality, consistency, and an elevated passion for music, the band allows itself to take on various musical forms and explore the space that can open up new doors of expression.

Fate alone brought six seasoned musicians together to form Barefoot Fred in 2008. Though each had honed his craft through gigs in and around Chicago, the combination made the whole even greater than the sum of its parts. It is through their unique interplay that Barefoot Fred comes alive. With an obligation to constant growth and improvement, Barefoot Fred’s sound is not limited to any specific musical style. Although rooted in the pure American concept of improvisation, their music is structured in such a way that specific ideas and themes can be drawn from each song. Though they have crafted a sound all their own, one can hear the seamless fusion of rock, funk, bluegrass, reggae, jazz, country, and blues combined with world influences throughout their consistently growing catalogue of music.

Barefoot Fred has quickly made a significant impact on their growing and loyal fan base. The inspiration that feeds our musical hunger is based upon anything that we experience or see in our everyday lives. Every lyric we compose has an "on the surface" meaning with a much greater understanding buried beneath it. Fuzzorama started spring 2003!  The intention was to save this fu**edup world from more Britney and so on... The only thing you'll get to from this site is fuzz, a lot of fuzz!

We have five fuzzy bands here at Fuzzorama at the moment and then we have a few releases and bands no longer with us!

First of all;
The one and only TRUCKFIGHTERS, "Sludgy stoner grooves and droning riffs are put through the metal-electro mangler as Truckfighters blast your ears with their unique take on modern rock." - Metal hammer

And the totally awesome band ASTEROID! Heavy, progressive and with a groove that will blow your mind! Swedish spaced out 70's style fuzzrock at it's best!!!

DEXTER JONES' CIRCUS ORCHESTRA that plays music withholds hints of Swedish progressive rock combined with powerful guitar melodies and catchy drumsand!

The Riot-fuzzrock boys in THE DURANGO RIOT. There is Stooges on the left and Qotsa to the right and a lot of trouble in between.

The newest addition to Fuzzorama is the super combo from Italy called STAKE OFF THE WITCH, doom-heayv-stoner with extraordinary female vocals.
