24 BROKEN AMPS -

24 Broken Amps are an out-and-out grunge/punk band that have stomped into the space where no-one was treading in a scene that's been deadening under the lightweight of jangly indie synthy stuff. Delving into the past for moods where needed, and into presentlives for inspiration, they have unashamedly set themselves apart from those around, spilling an energetic buzz, at once melodious and caustic (as compiled on the bands website)

HEAVY WATER EXPERIMENTS - Dares Originality and Eclecticism!

Striving beyond retro-revivalism toward any and all sounds avant-psychedelic, Heavy Water Experiments dares originality and eclecticism. From mellow and acoustic to heavy and dark, from ethereal psych folk to thunderous stoner rock, HWE achieves an atypical confluence of mainstream and experimentation. Classic rock influences may abound, but so many media voices have never drawn comparisons to the same artists or group of artists—at least some testament to HWE’s uniqueness.

The band is fronted by singer, songwriter, guitarist, keyboardist, bassist, and producer David Melbye, an LA native whose past bands/projects include Ludivine, Fuzz Beloved, and Zanzibar. His creative/artistic partner Roberto Salguero, originally from El Salvador, plays drums and percussion. (as compiled on the bands website)

SOUTH SHORES - Alternative Rock

South Shores originally started as an Austin, Texas studio project by the bands founder Sean Layton in 2006. After two years of making demos and writing songs, Sean hooked up with Dallas based major label producer Geoff Rockwell (Forever the Sickest Kids, Disco Curtis) to record their ironically titled debut EP “New Beginnings” Just a week before the sessions started Sean lost everything he owned in a freak five alarm fire at his home. With the love and support of his family, his life's savings, along with the guitar that he had at his friends house when the fire occurred, Sean proceeded to record and recruited long time friend, Grant Pittman to play guitar and keys).

After completing the EP, the duo relocated to the Dallas/Ft Worth area and began to audition new band members. The South Shores line up was solidified when they added Aaron Sutton on lead guitar, Nathan Palmer on bass, and Austin Caplinger on drums. (as compiled on the bands website)

THE FLYING EYES - Rock ~ Psychadelic ~ Blues

The Flying Eyes are a heavy, psychedelic blues band hailing from Baltimore, Maryland. They took their name from a 1962 science fiction novel about giant, disembodied eyes that descend from outer space to control humanity.

In 2007, three long time friends (Adam, Mac and Elias) adopted Will as their lead singer, thus solidifying the lineup that would carry them forward. In the winter of 2008, they released the “Bad Blood EP” at a sold out show at The Talking Head Club in downtown Baltimore. That summer, they toured for the first time to Texas and back supporting this independent release.

In the summer of 2009 The Flying Eyes embarked on a thirty-three day tour across the entire country playing at venues in New York, Nashville, Los Angeles and Chicago.  (as compiled on the bands website)

GERI X - Simply Captivating!

Bulgarian-born Geri X is a composer, a musician and a singer hard to put a label on. Fans and critics spotted it from the moment she broke onto the Tampa Bay music scene: Geri is an artist with a singular sound you have not heard before. One can see it in the way she confidently plays her Babicz guitar, eyes half open and soul pouring out with a rich, crisp and mesmerizing voice.

What started with ...a classical training in piano, guitar and voice, evolving out of a broad and eclectic blend of influences, has become wonderfully her own. In the process of sharing her songs, Geri bares her soul to ease the audience’s emotions. It is the strength of the voice and the charge to each word that draws them to a halt. “Geri X is a poet, rebel, and a singer with a voice that is demanding to be heard. She carries the intensity of a Mike Tyson punch with the serene beauty of one of the best female vocalists of this era” (L.A. Post) (as compiled on the bands website)

SLOW MOTION CENTERFOLD - Alternative Rock!

A rock band from Nashville, TN comprised of four best friends from childhood (two of whom are brothers). their energy is as explosive as their songs are melodious.  Pulling from a variety of influences, Slow Motion Centerfold's songs roll along with roaring guitar riffs, disco-dance bass, barroom piano parts, rhythmic drums and keyboard lines equally at home on a Prince or Cure tune.

The band's influences are so broad they are hard to pin down musically. Guitar rock revisionists? Keyboard pop song deconstructionists? SMC can play in a lot of different keys. But whatever you want to call the sound, the band brings an intensity to their live shows, driven largely by front man Alex Hall's high wire antics.  Their debut album titled "Rock The Body Language" was produced by Brian Virtue, whose list of credits include Jane's Addiction, Audioslave, Deftones, etc. (as compiled on the bands website)

THE YOUNG DUBLINERS - Poets & Patriots, Saints & Sinners!

The Young Dubliners are excited for the release of Saints and Sinners, their second album on 429 Records--and first batch of original material since 2005's critically acclaimed Real World. After taking an exciting retro, rootsy labor of love detour to give a shout out to the masters of Irish song past and present on their 2007 429 Records debut "With All Due Respect, The Irish Sessions", the Young Dubliners drew inspiration from the trials and tribulations of the past few years on the road where they have encountered their share of, to borrow from an Irish proverb, "poets and patriots, saints and sinners", for the new album. (as compiled on the bands website)

Members:
Keith Roberts, Brendan Holmes, David Ingraham, Chas Waltz, Bob Boulding

KUNG FURY - BIG Hooks, Tight Pants, Fast Kicks and Short Songs!

KUNG FURY, born in 2003 in New York City, Shaun Brennan (vocals/guitar), R.E.A. (drums), Neal "Zum" on bass started recording and playing gigs along the East Coast while staying steady on the NYC club circuit and holding down a residency at the club Snitch (owned by Scott Weiland and Duff McKagan). In 2008 Jonny Z took over on bass duties and the boys hit the studio in May of 2009 to record the newly released and smashing EP “KICKS!”, featuring three fresh songs: “Take A Punch”, “I’m A Man” and “Wired”.

KUNG FURY is about release. It’s about freeing yourself from the grip of small people with three minute songs about life, pleasure and decadence. It’s about simple, sexy rock-n-roll with a taste for class and trash. So, turn up the volume, light some bottle rockets and crawl around to the beat...(as compiled on the bands website).

MARBLE SHEEP - Psychedelic / Punk / Rock

MARBLE SHEEP were founded in 1987 by Ken Matsutani(ex WHITE HEAVEN). First the band started its musical activity under the name of "MARBLE SHEEP & THE RUN-DOWN SUN'S CHILDREN." The good old MARBLE SHEEP passed through many styles of psychedila like Minimal Music, Heavy Rock and S.F. Jam Psych as both band and music continued to evolve.

The name MARBLE SHEEP is highly esteemed overseas as a fixture of the Japanese rock scene since early times.  MARBLE SHEEP started their real overseas activity from 2002. They obtained overseas record company deals too and had many live shows in USA and Europe. In contrast with the long history of the band, MARBLE SHEEP are described as "Merry Pranksters of the 21st Century." This can be attributed to the merry and energetic live performances which can flip out even full-grown-ups while taking listeners to the Space World easily.

So, eternal 21st Century boys & girls, We wanna be your SNAPPY TOYS!!!! (as compiled on the bands website).

PEACH - Post Trash!

Peach is a three-piece rock/trash-pop ensemble hailing from St. Louis, Missouri. Peach plays "good music" without pretension or pseudo-whatever, and we hope you like it enough to hang out with us for a bit.
“Describing the music is a bit hard and not because we’re so awesomely unique that we’re above classification, but because it’s really just straightforward rock music. People sort of expect us to have some ultra-specific, somewhat obscure genre that we believe we belong to, but that’s not the case. We can just call it post-trash.”

CLOUDMAP - Gravity is Gone!

CLOUDMAP is the result of a reflection about tempo in music and the most hidden forms in Rock.
The idea of creating, improving and self-growing throughout original melodies, different rhythms and odd time signatures, motivates Cloudmap. This band is not rhythmically straightforward and enjoys mixing electric and acoustic guitars, synthesizers, everything steered by a powerful drumming.

The lyrics talk about many different concepts based on feelings including death, treachery, pride, love or happiness. Although their music might seem abstract at the beginning it follows very logical patterns. The band looks for perfection through the mind and lives music as something magical and respectful. They prefer music to be the main character of their creations on top of any physical appearance.
