All we ask is do what you do best!  Here's what we've been up to this new year In Rock, Pop, and Hip Hop. Rock The Pattern Interrupt 2014 is off with a BANG! With a January release of The Pattern self titled EP, "The Pattern Interrupt" hits the digital stores. With a song featureing "Fronz" of Attila  on Swaffle and and added bonus track remix of the same song by Justin Lassen. This hardcore, screamo band is a hard working group ending 2013 as a finalist in the Project Independent and now TPI has been picked as a finalist for breakout metal artist for 2013. Judges included Randy Blythe from Lamb of God, Halestorm, Hollywood Undead & In This Moment . . . over 12,000 submissions and has been one of 9 finalists picked just blows TPI's minds. Breakout Artist Music Competition This momentum has TPI signing with The Inner Light Agency/ iLA  iLA is a band management & artist development firm ran by Damon Moreno and Bruce Swink

Artist History

The song Sacred Moon's Light was selected by the Progressive Rock Hall of Fame to be included in their forthcoming compilation CD, Soundscapes Volume One. This is being mailed to 1000 record labels, reviewers and radio stations.  http://www.progressiverockhalloffame.com/cds.htm

Spending my early days in Austin, Texas in the 1970’s allowed me to experience and witness a wide variety of exceptional musicians and musical trends; from the Cosmic Cowboy country scare to the electric blues revival of the Vaughan brothers. Concentrating mainly as a guitar player led me to playing with a variety of bands and musical styles throughout my career and working with talented songwriters whose songwriting crafts did not go unnoticed. One of the highlights of those days was opening for Bob Dylan in 1991 in front of 5000 people and getting great reviews in the music press.

While researching my family’s Scottish and English heritage in 2001, I came across a body of songs which captivated me to the point where I decided I had to record and perform them. The CD is titled Off To Sea Once More.  The songs are ballads and sea shanties some of which date back several hundred years. The melodies are haunting, their rhythms suggesting the bobbing of the tall sail ships, and their lyrics tell the colorful stories of the joys and hardships of the men whose lives were dependent on the world’s oceans. Using existing lyrics that pre-dated recorded music allowed me the freedom to reinterpret the songs and write the music and melodies to fit the words. This project left a lasting impression and inspired me to begin song writing in earnest.

The Sol Surfers were formed in 2007 by Lynn Stokes to showcase new original material.  All members of the group have extensive professional experience performing live for many years. The band plays original songs with a classic rock feel blending the sounds of soul music with the rhythms and chord structure of surf-rock and new-age, retro-psychedelic.

Bela Lugosi and Elvis Presley both died on Stoo Odom's birthday. The GRAVES BROTHERS DELUXE, disembodied musical spirits from Hattiesburg, Mississippi, thus chose Odom eagerly when looking for host bodies to express themselves. A New Orleans native/ recovering archaeologist/ Pirate Cat Radio personality, Odom shares the current possessée duties with San Franciscans Willy the Mailman, Marco Villalobos, and Allison Lovejoy. Host bodies of GBDLX have put in time with THIN WHITE ROPE, SUBARACHNOID SPACE, THE RESIDENTS, GRANDADDY, and the late NOEL REDDING (yeah, him).

Since their formation in 1998, GBDLX have released a smoldering heap of albums, singles, and EPs, leading them to tours of Japan, Spain, Mexico, and the USA, plus international radio & TV appearances. Most recently, the Brothers were seen performing on ANTHONY BOURDAIN'S NO RESERVATIONS on the Travel Channel.

GBDLX also work in the world of film soundtracks ("Reeling," "Neurotique," and "Madalien the Small"), music videos (by award-winning director Nara Denning), and in 2009 released the self-titled MAHIKARI album, a collaboration with ACID MOTHERS TEMPLE's Kawabata Makoto and the BOREDOMS' Yamamoto Seiichi. Other collaborations are currently underway, including one with Eddie Shaw of '60's icons THE MONKS.

You are cordially invited to help save an endangered species—soon to become extinct: the recording artist (in particular, me). Just as ‘video killed the radio star,’ Internet has all but killed the recording artist and high fidelity audio. Between illegal downloading, streaming, piracy, the decline in CD sales, Youtube and other free sites like soundcloud, revenue can only be generated by playing ‘live.’ Recording artists-- especially independent ones-- and the album as an art form are becoming extinct. With MP-3s and streaming (and the ubiquitous ‘earbuds’) high quality audio is no longer deemed important.

I am soliciting Pre-orders for my forthcoming CD, a limited pressing to be released sometime in May. To help to defray the costs of having the CD replicated and professionally mastered, and the cover designed, I am taking pre-orders. I contemplated ‘crowd funding,’ but in order to be successful one needs a crowd, and the whole business makes me rather queasy. I am independent, and I fund my musical projects 100% (with the help of credit cards). Visa loves me.

The CD is a collection of 15 tracks, part of an ‘opera’ I have been toying with for a few years. It is an album, NOT a collection of singles. The material is a potpourri of musical styles, including: techno-pop/funk, ambient, jazz, experimental, electronica, classical, world, psychedelic, rock, etc. (my usual mélange). The tracks were recorded, produced and mixed by me in my studio, and I have been fortunate to obtain the services of one of the leading mastering engineers in the world, Pete Maher in London. Pete has mastered, among others, U2, Nine Inch Nails, Depeche Mode, Patti Smith, The Rolling Stones, etc. High quality audio is of paramount importance. I have also hooked up with an up-and-coming Korean illustrator/cartoonist, Juyong Lee, who will create the cover art.

AISLES - Progressive Rock / Art Rock/Fusion/World Music

AISLES are a promising, young band, formed in 2001 with a strong desire to find their own identity. To this end they have successfully incorporated visual and conceptual elements to their music that lend it an emotional depth.  In 2003 the band began work on their demo, aiming to travel to Europe with it in search of backing to produce and publish their music. Having achieved such a high quality of... sound, they decided to use it as their first record. In 2005 “The Yearning” was born, and was consequently published and distributed in Europe, the United States and Japan.  Rave reviews appeared worldwide highlighting the sensitivity and originality of their music and the band realised that it was necessary to base themselves in Europe in order to be able to reach their artistic potential.

In 2007 the seeds of the album “In Sudden Walks” were sown. Production lasted over a year, a result of the collaboration of talented individuals including the best technicians, gifted musicians and a few selected guest artists. The record was mixed and sent for mastering to Gateway Mastering Studios, one of the most acclaimed mastering studios in the world.  Once again, the quality of both the music and the production of “In Sudden Walks” caught the attention of the music press. AISLES were nominated for the Prog Awards (Italy) in the Best Foreign Record category, no mean achievement given the strong history of Italy’s progressive music. (as compiled on the bands website)

SUGAR FROM SOUL - Alternative Rock

Founded in 2006, Sugar from Soul spent the first two years of their existence writing and recording songs for their first album, which was released in 2008.   Since then, the four musicians have been rocking the stages in and around Frankfurt/Germany with an ever-growing set of songs.

Rewarded for their live activity in 2009 they were crowned "newcomer band 2009" by Beyerdynamic and regioactive.de, Germany's No.1 address for bands and musicians.  In 2010 they expanded to the European abroad playing shows in Italy (winning the international Upload Contest in Bolzano), UK (including two London shows) and Norway.

Their music balances sharply between blues-rock and pop, rough guitar-riffs and dance, megalomania and sheepishness.

SPACEHOUND - Alternative Rock!

While lounging around for many weeks during a recent summer, Angelo Spyropoulos was playing guitar, writing lyrics and recording original songs on his cell phone. Often taking breaks to walk his unruly dog (and giving the hound some space for which it could run) it makes perfect sense that Angelo would later suggest the name, Spacehound, to his band mates. Formed in Venice and Long Beach, CA in December, 2009, Spacehound is characterized by bold guitars, bright melodies, and funk, pop and punk sensibilities. The band’s sound is reminiscent of artists such as The Beatles, Led Zeppelin and Nirvana, yet Spacehound beams with distinctive charm and style. (as compiled on the bands website)
