Formed in 2000 by Brian Rogers(singer), and Curtis Harvey(guitar), Absent Me is a 4 man Progressive rock band from Sacramento Ca. In 2002, the jazz sound was injected with the addition of Job(bass), only to complete the ultimate capabilities in 2004 when Don(drums) joined to write and record all new music for a full length L.P., entitled "Hate To Wake You" , released September 2006. SOUTH SHORES - Alternative Rock Pop

South Shores originally started as an Austin, Texas studio project by the bands founder Sean Layton in 2006. After two years of making demos and writing songs, Sean hooked up with Dallas based major label producer Geoff Rockwell (Forever the Sickest Kids, Red Car Wire, Artist Vs. Poet) to record their ironically titled debut EP “New Beginnings” Just a week before the sessions started Sean lost everything he owned in a freak five alarm fire at his home. With the love and support of his family, his life's savings, along with the guitar that he had at his friends house when the fire occurred, Sean proceeded to record and recruited long time friend, Grant Pittman to play guitar and keys. THE PHANTOM CREEPS - Psychobilly!

The Phantom Creeps are just three guys hell-bent on wreaking havoc on the Psychobilly/Rockabilly world.  Blending Rockabilly, Punk, Country, Psychobilly and good ole' fashioned Rock into their own brand of Hellbilly Rock and Roll, they have established themselves as a band to be reckoned with! Only a year and a half into existence the Creeps have been very busy - finishing off their debut album in the summer of 2009, playing non-stop and promoting themselves tirelessly. The Creeps have garnered much attention in the Psychobilly & Punk scene by sharing the stage with such heavyweights as The Guana Batz, The Creepshow, The Brains, Big John Bates, The Deadcats, The Raygun Cowboys and numerous other bands. Indie radio play is coming fast and furious with stations from Canada, U.S., The U.K. and Australia all getting on board. Tight, energetic live performances and great album reviews such as a recent one in Absolute Underground magazine are only fueling the fire.

BURNING SAVIOURS - Rock / Heavymetal / Heavyrock

THE STORY
Burning Saviours (from Sweden) came together in 2003 when Mikael Marjanen (guitar) and Martin Wijkström (drums) discussed starting a heavy rock/doom metal band. They named the band after a Pentagram song from the album Day of Reckoning. They teamed up with bassist Fredrik Evertsson and vocalist Andrei Amartinesei to record their first demo entitled Dayterrors in 2004. Amartinesei picked up guitar in addition to vocals for their second demo, The Crusade of Evil, also recorded in 2004.

 

The band soon discarded their previous songs and recorded a new demo, Into the Abyss in late 2004. This demo generated enough buzz to get the band added to the annual German "Doom Shall Rise III" festival in 2005 as well as a record contract with I Hate Records. Their self-titled debut was released in May 2005. Hundus, their second album, was released in June 2006 on I Hate Records. A single was released on Rise Above Records in December 2006. FRACTURED EXISTENCE - Heavy Metal

Fractured Existence was formed by Ken Hill (Lead Guitar), Bruce Bogad (Rhythm Guitar) & Dave Ashworth (Bass). Armed with a revolving door of singers and drummers,the band played extensively in their hometown of Richmond, Va. and surrounding areas for the next four years. With the focus on original Heavy Rock & Metal, they released several demos. Good reviews and word of mouth landed them an opening slot for fellow Richmond natives Gwar, but band split up. Bruce, Dave and Ken moved on to other bands but always stayed in touch. Fractured Existence reunited in early 2005, With Ken taking on the lead vocal duties. The band are finally ready to release their first official album in 2006 and judging by the feedback, it was worth the wait.  (as compiled on the bands website)

ERIC WALKER - Electronic / New Age

Eric Walker’s career in entertainment began in the early eighties in acting. He is most well known for the two movies he starred in as Mace Towani for George Lucas in the Star Wars spin off known as The Ewok Adventures.
 
It was High School at LACHSA that he began his artistic journey into the uncompromising creative depth of music and all it has to offer. But he wasn’t satisfied with just knowing how to execute mere music play and this would lead Eric to purchasing his first keyboard, a Roland synthesizer. This allowed him to practice at home with no limit access to embedding himself into his endeavor to attain some kind of admirable mastery of the music he loved so much.  (as compiled on the Eric Walker website)

WHAT'S IN A NAME?
The burgeoning Los Angeles club scene has witnessed the birth of dozens of quality rock bands from the Doors to Guns 'N' Roses, but none quite so humorously defiant as ZAK DANIELS & THE ONE EYED SNAKES. Take the band's name for instance. "When you play music for a living, sometimes you take almost any job that comes along," says Zak, the tall, trim lead vocalist/rhythm guitarist who fronts the four piece outfit. "A few years ago we were literally existing from gig to gig, when an odd looking gentleman approached us after a show and asked if we'd like to score and play on the soundtrack for a film he was producing. Imagine our surprise when a few days later, we arrived at a Hollywood Hills mansion that featured a home studio and was also the location for the film, a Triple X rated one at that."  (as compiled on the bands website)

I scabbed a free VIP pass from my friend Jimmy F., the owner of the Dresden in Los Feliz, CA... Got to see Jason Bonhams' Led Zepplin Experience at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles last night - http://www.jblze.com/ . It was an amazing rock 'n roll evening under the desert moon. Mr. Bonham's effort was an exceedingly tight musical endeavor by a group of musicians that managed a loving, well played, homage to the amazing "Hammer Gods" of yesteryore's rock and roll heyday. Mr. Bonham also shared some personal history (stories along with digital presentations) in the show. As the son of, perhaps, the greatest rock and roll drummer ever, and, a gifted drummer in his own right, Jason Bonham is possibly the best source to tribute the almighty Zep!

KEVIN MARTIN - Throwback Pop

Producing the Pluto Radio commercial free music stream is a lot.  I am happy to do so.  I love the bands we play.  I am fortunate to build a "culture" and have those involved care about me...  The musical diversity I am able to farm is absolutely amazing!  I totally dig the vibe of the station!  However, we are experiencing pressure from "outside" influences to change, if not "rid" the internet of what we do...  Well, I say Pluto Radio will play the music of those who deserve to be heard no matter what the personal cost.  I thank any/all listeners for tuning us in.., I thank any/all who assist in making this amazing stream possible as well...  Yes, I rant, perhaps, all too often, about the bullshit life corporate America breeds - but, it is bullshit, and I should not hesitate to say so!  We should neither listen to what they choke us with in popular media.  Pluto Radio is a non-conforming stream of brilliant music from bands deserving to be heard.  We play music that is diverse and non-pushed.  Just listen to the commercial free Pluto Radio stream and float down the Zen river of new musical life from the inter planetary perspective.  LOVE YOU, WHO DARE TO LISTEN!

ABSENT ME - Alternative / Progressive / Rock

Absent Me is a 4 man Progressive rock band from Sacramento Ca. In 2002, the jazz sound was injected with the addition of Job(bass), only to complete the ultimate capabilities in 2004 when Don(drums) joined to write and record all new music for a full length L.P., entitled "Hate To Wake You".
