Kings of Frog Island on the commercial free Pluto Radio stream ..

(per Wicki..  )  The Kings of Frog Island are a stoner rock collective drawing from psychedelic, stoner, and retro rock traditions. The Kings of Frog Island formed in Leicester, England (hence Frog Island) in 2003, as a collaboration[1] between guitarist and producer Mark Buteux along with R. "Doj" Watson, a founding member of the grunge/punk group Scum Pups[2] and Mat Bethancourt, of the rock bands Josiah and The Beginning. The band released their debut, self titled album with German-based Elektrohasch Records[3] in 2005. Work on the debut album involved some input from guest artists associated with members of the band's musical past, most notably, Matthew (Midge) Day of Scum Pups.[4] Mathew Bethancourt left The Kings Of Frog Island in 2010 to concentrate on Cherry Choke, while Mark Buteux and Roger ‘Doj’ Watson continue work on tracks for a fourth album with The Kings of Frog Island.

Zak Daniels and the One Eyed Snakes ..

Highly Recommended by HollywoodBands.com
Review by HollywoodBands.comSo, we all agree that Hollywood is fun. All the bands are here to entertain us, and we love their unique styles.  But, once in a while, one must ask "who are the best bands around here?". Once a while, we have to become critiques and analyze their music part by part.

Dave Armo on the commercial free Pluto Radio ..

Dave Armo was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. At the age of 5, his parents gave him a Bruce Springsteen album for Christmas which chartered his course. Dave's songwriting has become an endless endeavor which continues to produce new sounds for an ever-expanding catalog that is marked by themes of hope and redemption. Fans are known to bring homemade cookies to his live shows, which is something Dave does not understand, but greatly appreciates. In 2004, he released his debut album "Late Night Conversations." Shortly thereafter his song "Mercy Me" was selected to be included on Quickstar Productions' compilation of up and coming West Coast Songwriters. In 2005, Dave began diverting funds from his graduate student loans to record his second album, "A Leaf In The Breezeway," released in December, 2007. A tour in support of the new album placed Dave in venues across the country during which Deli Magazine declared: "the honesty in his songwriting and delivery seem so grounded in a genuine personality." Dave's third album, "Poets On The Wall" was released in April 2013 and features 12 new songs, several of which are currently in rotation on European radio stations. Dave lives and works in Los Angeles, California.

Chenard Walcker ..

Chenard Walcker was born and raised upon no secret formula but this one: Surrealist altruism. So, he became a cut and paste addict. He made his first steps in the visual field, but soon let aside photocollages to concentrate only on music.

Chenardwalcker.com has been online since march 2003 and presents a large selection of his work as a samplecore artist, whatever this might mean. All the music is available in both the Free Sample Zone and the Internet Archive. WM Recordings is proud to offer you this new release by Mr. Walcker.

Yann Chenard lives in la Goutte d'Or, Paris, France.

My Photos by

Dexter Jones' Circus Orchestra was formed 2001 in UmeÃ¥, Sweden by Tia Marklund, David and Daniel Israelsson, HÃ¥kan Dalsfelt and Kent Jonsson. The debut record “The Losers are Back in Town" was recorded in 2003 and released by Freebird Records as a 7” vinyl.
The album received extremely good reviews from stoner rock circles. The work with a fullength album started shortly after and the self titled debut (on Freebird Records) was presented in 2004, containing 10 dynamite songs. Slowly things started to happen. DJCO was booked at Eurosonic Festival January 2005 and toured mainland Europe twice, at times, together with the cult band Hypnos 69. The s/t got great reviews and was even titled ”the album of the year” by some of the leading European rock magazines. The songs could also be found on a few compilation records such as “The Ultimate fuzzcollection” (Fuzzorama Records). CONTINUED TO BAND'S FACEBOOK .. https://www.facebook.com/circusorchestra/info

Craving Dawn

Promo by

Bio:

October 2008, Bill Waugh had completed a solo album under the name "Mox Pablo". With a desire to perform the music live, Val Sinco and Brian Waugh teamed up with Bill as vocalists and started practicing as the Mox Pablo band. With a few additional musicians coming and going along the way, the band had a rough start. Brian picked up the bass guitar and Lindsey Waugh came in as the manager. Percussion was missing again so in February of '09 Tom Barry joined as the full time drummer. With the music and sound evolving, the band decided to come up with a fresh new name, and "Craving Dawn" was spewed out of tipsy brainstorming. The band just needed one more thing...a harder, sharper edge. Tom Pentland came along with his metal background and completed the puzzle. Based out of Boise, Idaho with electronic drums, great riffs, acoustic guitar and a male/female vocal combo, Craving Dawn has a unique sound with intentional emotion-provoking lyrics....and they all love to hang with the crowd before and after shows!

Earlstown Winter on the commercial free Pluto Radio stream ..

http://www.myspace.com/earlstownwinter (per the band's website)
Recording Sessions Porch Lights EP

Bio:

Discorder Magazine Review of Porch Lights EP March 2010 Vancouver folk-country artists Earlstown Winter released their five-track EP, which plays much in the same vein of local group Eldorado with their brand of sweet-loving country music. The opening track, “Porch Lights”, is a slow burning moody ballad about lost love. It has a gentle, rolling, organic feel that is a perfect introduction to the band. Porch Lights is a very laidback affair. Each song is stripped back in terms of sound, but they don’t suffer for it. Singer-songwriter Jonathan Truefitt makes it all worth listening to. Truefitt has such a unique voice that one must hear to believe, as nothing is really comparable to it. Even with a single listen, anyone would be convinced that this guy’s broken heart is authentic. The final track “Helena” is quite beautiful and is guaranteed to get a tear rolling down the cheek of those listeners with a freshly broken heart. Not something that regularly comes out of the Vancouver scene, Earlstown Winter has an unpretentious, soft and thoroughly gentle sound. There is nothing abrasive or earth shattering here—just some very pretty music.
