Zak Daniels and the One Eyed Snakes ..

Highly Recommended by HollywoodBands.com
Review by HollywoodBands.comSo, we all agree that Hollywood is fun. All the bands are here to entertain us, and we love their unique styles.  But, once in a while, one must ask "who are the best bands around here?". Once a while, we have to become critiques and analyze their music part by part.

The Hillmisters ..

THE HILLMISTERS / (((OH DEAR 12" SPLIT

CAAD2 | 2010 | Download Now
Tracklisting:
The Hillmisters - 01 Bed Headz 02 Jeannie 03 Sad Eyes
(((Oh Dear - 04 Rabbit Punch 05 Raise The Bar 06 Last Friend

The Hillmisters formed as an emerging friendship, fellow spirits looking to make shimmering alternative pop sounds like those which excited them so. A joyous sound of noisy, melodic, messy guitar pop with healthy doses of feedback and experimentation. It is bands like The Velvet Underground, The Kinks, The 13th Floor Elevators that are all staple diets for these guys, but influences are certainly far ranging. Arising from Southend in Essex the magic is between the eyes, the sun and moon.

Dave Armo on the commercial free Pluto Radio ..

Dave Armo was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. At the age of 5, his parents gave him a Bruce Springsteen album for Christmas which chartered his course. Dave's songwriting has become an endless endeavor which continues to produce new sounds for an ever-expanding catalog that is marked by themes of hope and redemption. Fans are known to bring homemade cookies to his live shows, which is something Dave does not understand, but greatly appreciates. In 2004, he released his debut album "Late Night Conversations." Shortly thereafter his song "Mercy Me" was selected to be included on Quickstar Productions' compilation of up and coming West Coast Songwriters. In 2005, Dave began diverting funds from his graduate student loans to record his second album, "A Leaf In The Breezeway," released in December, 2007. A tour in support of the new album placed Dave in venues across the country during which Deli Magazine declared: "the honesty in his songwriting and delivery seem so grounded in a genuine personality." Dave's third album, "Poets On The Wall" was released in April 2013 and features 12 new songs, several of which are currently in rotation on European radio stations. Dave lives and works in Los Angeles, California.
