Cactus Hunters.

"Kinda like if Robbie Robertson went out drinking with Buck Owens and wound up passed out in New Orleans." --Freight Train Boogie Magazine

Cactus Hunters were formed in the Hudson Valley region of New York state around the songwriting of Lance Juckas. Lance along with Fred Scribner (Gavin DeGraw, Little Sammy Davis, Levon Helm, Delbert McClinton) and Aaron Hurwitz (The Band, Rick Danko, Mercury Rev, Levon Helm, Dave Brubeck) recorded a twelve song album outside of Woodstock, New York. The Cactus Hunters self-titled debut album was released on Rustic Records in October 2003.

The Cactus Hunters debut album received critical praise and was generously embraced by radio stations ranging from country to alternative college radio. And, thanks in part to word of mouth and devoted fans and DJs, the debut Cactus Hunters album continues to grow in popularity along with their fan-base throughout Europe and Japan. The debut album "Cactus Hunters" charted on the AMA, FAR, and Roots Rock charts.

With the release of their second album titled "Something Gone," the Cactus Hunters once again conjure a collection of songs that weld together elements and inspiration from rock and roll, country, folk, roots, psychedelia, rockabilly, blues, 60s-garage, and the rich history and tradition of the great Americana songbook.
