THE LOYD - Rock - Portugal Style!

"Love and Revolution" is the first album of the Portuguese band the LOYD, after the EP "Done" released in 2007, and it is available since May of 2010.   Presented live on the 6 of March, the expected return of the band to the stages was marked by appearances by Michael Bello (Lullabye) and Nuno Melo (Mundo Secreto) and also by the first public screening of the music video "Alone (Where I'm Going)".

There are 13 songs that can be found in "Love and Revolution", with a clear emphasis on a new and energetic version of the Beatles song "Help!", which promises to leave no one indifferent and has the support of the Best Rock besides the already scheduled airplay on Rádio Comercial. BLACKMAIL - Classic Detroit Rock / Funk

BLACKMAIL serving up a Lethal Dose of Funk-Infested bluesy/hard rock from the motor city!!!.  The band formed in 2006 after a few informal basement jams on some Hendrix,U2 and Alice in Chains. Working up a set of original material the band set upon gigging hard and developing a local following. At the bands frequent Detroit area club appearances Ghettorock jams like Clown of life, 2lonely and Justify have crowds headbanging, dancing and moshin often within the same song. Blackmail is anchored by the "THUNDERING" Bass of Akmed ELshabazz and the "Hard Funk-Filled" drumming of Doug Austin. It lays a heavy groove for guitarist Mike Brooks to provide some Atomic Blues riffs.The Blackmail Groove is topped off with the Soulful and Charismatic Vocals of Frontman Kalonji Maayassa. RWAKE - Metal / Southern Rock / Progressive

Just over ten years ago RWAKE started out as a four brothers jamming to kill time, 'cause in Arkansas that's all you have...time. And in time those brothers were joined by other brothers (and a sister) and recorded some tracks their first material in September of ’97.  A “real” first demo, Xenoglossalgia: The Last Stage of Awareness, followed shortly as well as a slew of shows throughout the deep south, including their first ventures outside their home state of Arkansas.

Voices of Omens hits below the bible-belt with thick, tar-black riffing, vicious male/female howls and leads so sweet you'd think they're from Georgia. Instead this Arkansas band represents their dirty south with their intensely unique style of acid-drenched metal. SPIRITUALIZED - Experimental / Psychedelic / Rock

Spiritualized are an English space rock band formed in 1990 in Rudby, Warwickshire by Jason Pierce (who often goes by the alias J. Spaceman) after the demise of his previous band Spacemen 3. The membership of Spiritualized has changed from album to album, with Pierce — who writes, composes and sings all of the band's material — being the only constant member.

ZITA SWOON - Melody-Harmony, Movement-Rhythm

Zita Swoon was born in Antwerp during the nineties of the previous century. It is a collective formed around Stef Kamil Carlens who writes lyrics and music, sings and plays instruments. Piercing songs with a groove and a band that never does repeat itself live is their trademark. From absurd funk to traditional singer-songwriting, with here and there a dash of folk, blues and eighties disco. 

Zita Swoon is a cosmopolitan group of Antwerp internationalists. They each carry their own baggage and share it with the other members of the band. They also involve other artists from other disciplines: choreographers, dancers and theatre people. Together they form a new lab for scene productions of hybrid performances. THE AXEHEAD JOURNAL -

The Axehead Journal is a London-based rock-blog act, with its own brand of high-powered sludge, stoner, punk, and heavy-rock grooves with smoother folk, trip hop, and soundtrack/ soundscapes influences.

The whole journey starts in 2006-7 as a kind of diverse, experimental, wacky project with a loose gonzo journalism theme to it, culminating with the release of the debut album 'Tabloid Rock' in 2008, which receives radio airplay in UK, France and Canada and attention from underground media.

ANTI-M - Darkwave Gothic Rock

Anti-M was founded as a trio of keyboardists but has evolved in to a 5 piece band with a mixture of electronica, like Depeche Mode, and female fronted gothic rock, like Evanescence, Within Temptation and Lacuna Coil.

THE SEARCH - New Wave / Pop / Rock

The Search appeared on the Swedish independent music scene in 2003. Their first full-length album, the eponymous The Search, was an original take on the lush, atmospheric sounds of 80’s pop and post punk. The album was distributed by Red Sun Records and ended up as No.1 on their best sales chart for almost 3 months. A European tour followed with live gigs in the U.K., Germany, Holland, and Denmark.

In 2006, the EP compilation Bloodbathe/Bazaar of Lush Loose Limbs was released, a record which saw the band stretching the somewhat dark sonic landscapes of their earlier recordings into new territory. This was followed by a year spent working on their 3rd album, Deranged Minds Unite, which was released by Lonaly Records and had a lighter, more lo-fi sound than previous recordings.
