He's working on his album since around 1999 with some breaks here and there but 2008 has finally seen it brought to light. Grown up with progressive/art rock his music reflects this experiences and interests what also can be seen at the huge list of bands and artists which influenced him over the years. John Ludi plays all the instruments and also provides the vocals which makes this album to a completely rounded piece of work fulfilling his appreciation of writing lyrics and composing modern prog music. The songs are also spiked with references to wellknown bands and different prog genres and his conclusion is: 'They were to me, in fact, mini-symphonies filled with imagery and nuance, imagination and passion . far more of such than the average 3 minute pop/rock song could ever hope to deliver'. Critical response to their live shows has been ecstatic, prompting one journalist to exclaim "The Truths are the best band I’ve seen in ten years”, Stoked magazine calling them “a sexy, aggressive wall of sound”, The Guardian calling them “absolutely f*****g amazing!” etc.

After Anthony Neale (vocals) and Joe Taylor (guitar) met through a mutual friend they started jamming on Anthony's songs and almost immediately a strong musical partnership was formed and they knew they wanted to set the world ablaze with their music. "The chemistry was there from the start”, says Joe. “It just felt right”. Having met bass player James Goddard, Joe knew that he would fit right in. Simon Ward-Wilson (keyboards, guitar) and powerhouse drummer Dave Neale were the last pieces of the jigsaw. “After the first rehearsal it was clear we could make a sound bigger than the sum of our parts”- Anthony Neale.


With one of the most charismatic lead singers around and a huge stage presence as a band, they’ve been described as “something that’s been missing from British music for a long time”. Once upon a time, in a galaxy far, far away…. The members of Led By The Blind were spawned from half human and half extra-terrestrial DNA. A historical extra-terrestrial family then brought them to Earth where they joined as one to spread the message that we are not alone. En este año 2006 que ahora acaba de terminar la bada mallorquina The black beards ha editado su flamante disco de debut "Rock and Roll y se han lanzado a una gira que les trae a Medina del Campo y Valladolid para cerrar los cocniertos del ciclo de Otoño del Asklepios. Nos pusimos en contacto con ellos y esto nos han trasmitido (Miguel bass, dic 2006)

Habeis sacado un CD con excelentes críticas y que ademas ha sidoseleccionado como maketa del mes en la revista "Guitarra total",no está malpara un primer trabajo¿que planes teneis con este CD en un futuro inmediato?

La verdad es que no podemos quejarnos de las críticas, puesto que de momento, todas las publicadas han sido positivas (¡lo cual no deja de sorprendernos!). Por otro lado, nuestra intención és fundamentalmente presentar el cd en directo en tantos lugares como sea posible. De momento hemos cubierto buena parte del territorio de Mallorca y, ahora, con estas cuatro actuaciones en la península deseamos empezar a proyectarnos por todo el ámbito estatal. La idea sería volver a la península por Pascua i verano para actuar en todas las localidades donde se nos presente la ocasión. Pensad que para un grupo de las Islas, poder cruzar el charco (con los costes econòmicos y la dificultad de encontrar lugares donde tocar) es, además de una aventura, una gran oportunidad. Esperemos que la acogida sea buena y sea necesario reeditar el cd, mientras vamos preparando el que serà nuestro segundo trabajo (del cual vais a tener un pequeño avance en estos conciertos). En definitiva, lo importante para un grupo de rock es tocar en directo, y eso es lo deseamos.  (per the band's webpage)

THE GROOMING - Alternative / Electronica

The Grooming project, formed by Giackxx ( Giacomo Vanelli as dj and at the synth ) and Paolo Girelli (bass guitar), was born as an electronic Italian duo project to become later a multiform set of projections and videoperformances improved by Diego Bartole (drums) and Daniele Falletta (guitar). Show by show, song by song, also the voice starts having an important role. The concept of having many different singers (both on stage and virtual) is caracterized by the permanent contribution and it also represents a sustainable expression. Inspired by the Bristol sound the Grooming started playing in 2007 in Milan. Expressiveness and technology, melody and electronic music, mind and instrument face each other, mixing, fighting and seducing each other in a creative chaos that up to now has seen the predominance of the human factor. JEN GLOECKNER - Between Light & Dark, Dream & Wake

All things beautiful are destructive, too, and musician Jen Gloeckner provides a taste of both in “Mouth of Mars” (2009), the long-awaited follow-up to “Miles Away” (Gloeckner’s debut album released in Europe through One Little Indian Records UK in 2005). MOJO Music Magazine in London has described Gloeckner’s sound as “spell-weaving…different, dark, ethereal, funky; an alluring big-sky, small-room mystery.” As in “Miles Away,” Gloeckner home-recorded “Mouth of Mars” in her bright orange upstairs-bedroom-turned-studio, and its “big-sky” themes are evident in more than the album’s title. Her new release is an instinct-driven exploration of primal emotion, where minimal lyrics and layers of sound evoke a universal, gut-level knowledge of desire, separation, and the sacred connection of souls.

For better or for worse, Gloeckner’s music seems to say, this is the human condition as revealed through sound—raw, dirty, brutal, healing, serene, and sacred all at once.
