Bands are very much tied down to sounding like the last thing at the moment. When you get down to it, Major Major are music lovers and have no shame or need to leave out any of our influences. We like Hip Hop, we like rock, Conor even likes musicals! We go with what feels right and sounds great in our music; big harmonies, catchy melodies, a driving rhythm section and lyrics that have meaning and great subject matter, culminating in our unique brand of Extrovert Pop. Yes it’s pop, not such a dirty word to us, and when we play we like to show how much fun we are having instead of being dormant behind our instruments.
Conor Clarke, Neil Owen, Louis Cooper and James Knight are an all singing, all chanting musical explosion with a show as lively and exciting as the rock shows of the 60’s and 70’s without the unnecessarily long twiddly nonsense!
With a stunning concoction of influences from all corners of music, Major Major will have you captivated with their original pop sound! Comparisons have been made to Talking Heads, Dr Feelgood, Franz Ferdinand and Ozomatli.
