ZZG - Classic Rock

ZZG was formed by guitarist and singer Daniel Roberts(Chuffs) along with bassist Keith Matthews. “Our desire was to create rock music in the vein of late 60’s and early 70’s classic rock and we intended for anyone who heard our music to leave with guitar hooks firmly embedded in their mind hours later." Our philosophy has remained unchanged, though our music has evolved to include a progressive rock element.

“Trapped in the Mirror” - ZZG’s debut album is entitled “Trapped in the Mirror” and was recorded to have a particular 60’s -70’s period sound. Daniel’s voice has been described as having Bowiesque elements while musically the album may be said to reflect the influences of Deep Purple, Van Halen, Yes, Pink Floyd and other classic period musicians.

ZZG's Current lineup as of 2011 is:
Dan Roberts(Guitars)
Craig Birnie (Drums)
Hugh Blemings(Keys)
Keith Matthews (Bass)
ZZG are located in Canberra, Australia and are currently writing a second album with seven new songs currently being arranged. (as compiled on the bands website)

HOT PANDA - Garage / Indie / Pop

Since their signing to Canada's Mint Records in 2008, the band has released two critically acclaimed full length albums (2010's How Come I'm Dead, and 2009's Volcano, Bloody Volcano). The band's releases have debuted at #1 on Canadian college charts, and earned them a 'Hot Track of the Week' selection in Rolling Stone Magazine (Chinatown Bus), an iTunes track of the week selection (Start Making Sense), and won 'Album of the Year' at the 2010 Edmonton Music Awards (for How Come I'm Dead?).

Hot Panda have literally driven four tour vans into the ground. They have taken their ferocious live show across North America over 10 times, as well as completing a tour of Europe in 2009 (opening for notorious Detroit rockers The Von Bondies), and a second tour of Europe in the fall of 2011 playing the Reeperbahn festival in Hamburg (as well as dates in France, Austria and the UK). The band has played some of North America's premier showcase festivals, including South By South West in Austin (where they were selected by Esquire Magazine as one of fifteen hot new emerging artists of the 2011 festival), CMJ Music Marathon in New York City, Pop Montreal, Canadian Music Festival and North By North East in Toronto, Sled Island in Calgary, and Halifax Pop Explosion. (as compiled on the bands website)

Fractured Existence on the commercial free Pluto Radio stream ..

The Coppermine - 1992 Fractured Existence

Bio: (per band's website)

Fractured Existence was formed in 1988 byKen Hill (Lead Guitar), Bruce Bogad (Rhythm Guitar) & Dave Ashworth (Bass). Armed with a revolving door of singers and drummers, the band played extensively in their hometown of Richmond, Va. and surrounding areas for the next four years. With the focus on original Heavy Rock & Metal, they released several demos. Good reviews and word of mouth landed them an opening slot for fellow Richmond natives Gwar, but within a year the band split up. Bruce, Dave and Ken moved on to other bands but always stayed in touch. Fractured Existence reunited in early 2005, With Ken taking on the lead vocal duties. The band are finally ready to release their first official album in 2006 and judging by the feedback, it was worth the wait.Members:
Ken Hill, Dave Ashworth, Bruce Bogad{%22ImageId%22%3A1422799}

TWIZZLE - Indie / Lounge / Pop

Tear off the white ribbons and candy pink velvet and steal a taste of ice-blue frosting kissed with powdered sugar. Pop a bonbon between your lips and savor the daring combination of exotic-tinted flavors. A blueberry tart with peppermint cream. A warming dram of bittersweet cocoa or perhaps a glass of lemondrop treacle. Don't hesitate to ask about our musical confections by contacting the candymakers at: Twizzle (as compiled on the bands website)

Going to see a show should be about what happens that day, in that room, between that audience and that performer. It shouldn't be a carbon copy of the same performance from the night before. How I slept, what I ate, the conversations I had, the articles I read: all of those things affect my brain chemistry and how I'm going to interact with the songs that day. Making art is an incredible opportunity to synthesize and reinterpret our unique lived experiences and reintroduce them to the world as shared dreams of sound and light. If I used canned backing tracks I'd be robbing myself of that opportunity.

I want the freedom to make mistakes. Mistakes are far more human and interesting than mechanized accuracy. Be suspicious of anyone who wants to scrub art of its imperfections. As soon as art becomes perfect, it dies. (as compiled on the bands website)
