Sinister
Dexter is a hard-hitting 10-piece soul machine-New Orleans-style horn
band, like a mix of Tower of Power, Santana, the Blues Brothers, and a
pre-80s Kool and the Gang (or if you're too young for that, think Big
Bad Voodoo Daddy crossed with Ozomatli and Cake). Featuring our
sensational vocalist Rebecca Lipon, a hot five-piece horn section, and a
tight rhythm section, we put on a high energy show that keeps you
moving late into the night.
While the members and
mix of genres has changed, our goal has always been to be the local band
that we would go out of our way to see ourselves. For us, that means
featuring a thick, powerful horn section, dance-inducing grooves, and
soulful vocals (as compiled from the bands website).
