The Glim Dropper on the commercial free Pluto Radio stream..

"I dig this band, they have unique, cool, vibe enough for all.  I also find the Wikipedia definition of what the Glim Dropper Scam is...  Read on dear listeners.., read on..." - Lee

From Wikipedia: “The glim-dropper scam requires several accomplices, one of whom must be a one-eyed man. One grifter goes into a store and pretends he has lost his glass eye. Everyone looks around, but the eye cannot be found. He declares that he will pay a thousand-dollar reward for the return of his eye, leaving contact information. The next day, an accomplice enters the store and pretends to find the eye. The storekeeper (the intended griftee), thinking of the reward, offers to take it and return it to its owner. The finder insists he will return it himself, and demands the owner’s address. Thinking he will lose all chance of the reward, the storekeeper offers a hundred dollars for the eye. The finder bargains him up to $250, and departs. The one-eyed man, of course, cannot be found and does not return.”

Glim Dropper - the band -  is a Philadelphia based original rock trio that formed in late 2008. Comprised of Dan Kauffman (Vocals and Bass), Ben Geise (Guitar), and Rob Schnell (Drums), the trio’s sound ranges from reggae and funk to heavier rock. The group, originally known as the Dan Kauffman Band, was assembled by Dan to perform his first independent release “A Human Condition”. As the band began to collaborate on song writing, it was decided to rename the band Glim Dropper.

Dan Kauffman is an accomplished singer, songwriter, bassist, drummer, and guitarist. Having written all the tracks on “A Human Condition” Dan is the creative center of the band. Dan’s skills have been praised by many including Charles Barkley who acknowledges Dan as his “brother from another mother.”

Rob Schnell brings an experienced hand to the trio having performed with Spencer Davis and Bo Diddley as well as recording and touring with Tracy Grammer. Other than their collaboration on the material for “A Human Condition” Dan and Rob have performed together in various ensembles since 2005.

Guitarist Ben Geise is the newest member of Glim Dropper. While studying Jazz at the University of Pittsburgh Ben performed with Benny Golson, Curtis Fuller, and played with various jazz ensembles.

Glim Dropper wishes to promote federal, state, local, and personal responsibility, through sincerity and syncopation.  (information provided via Glim Droppers webpage)
