Hi admin@plutoradio.com!

Hope you are having a good Fall and neither storms nor elections are getting you down! No matter what your mood, I would like to invite you to what will surely be a fun time at Skylark in West Seattle this Sunday, 11/11 starting at 8pm. It's a free Songwriters in Seattle showcase that will start out mellow and end with a bang courtesy of me and my band going full out! My fantastic new guitarist Art Bromage will be doing his first show with us, and we'll be knocking out most of the songs from my This Journey album with a sprinkling from the back catalog.

As we're doing this show for free in support of the non-profit org Songwriters in Seattle, I would ask that in kind you consider making a contribution to the big fundraiser that is running for their big event next year: A 3-day "for the music community, by the music community" convention, expo, and performance event called Northwest Music Experience. Visit the IndieGoGo Page here: http://www.indiegogo.com/nwme - it is a cause near and dear to my heart as you will see from the video, so thank you!

Hope to see you at the show Sunday - Cheers!

Chris

Chris Klimecky new release

I am so happy to finally announce the official release of my new album, This Journey! It's been a huge endeavor of heart, soul, and effort - a dream project to have the time to realize my vision as best as I possibly could. In songwriting, performance, and production, this is a new high bar that I am thrilled to share with you! In celebration, I've posted the opening song "Arrival" for you to preview on Reverbnation.

The whole album is available for digital download from my Reverbnation store, iTunes, Amazon, Rhapsody, and CD Baby, with the high quality hard copy/CD available only from CD Baby (links to all below). If initial feedback holds true, this will be a disc that becomes part of your permanent collection, not just a charity purchase from an indie artist that you pass to a friend after one listen. In fact, I'm so confident you'll enjoy it, if you buy a hard copy/CD from CD Baby, I'll give you a personal money back guarantee - if you really aren't happy with it, contact me, send me the disc, and I'll Paypal you the purchase price in return.

Thanks in advance for your support and I hope to hear your feedback (like the comments below) soon!

Chris

"This Journey is an amazing album. 'Michael W. Smith meets Queensryche.' I have spun it about five times now and it keeps getting better...an altruistic display of chops and songwriting prowess!! ~Raymond Hayden, Maurice the Fish Records

"Chris, the album is AMAZING! Listened to it the past 3 days in my car. AWESOME STUFF!" ~Jeff Ross, The Aquarium Radio Show (nwczradio.com)

"Wow, your new CD is MAGNIFICENT!!! I've spent the last three days listening to it non-stop, and I must say, you've outdone yourself this time. Really an amazing piece of work. I think you've grown considerably as a songwriter and a vocalist. Your guitar playing was always pretty smoking, and that's on display here, too. This is definitely going to be one of my 'summer soundtrack' CDs over the next few months." ~Aaron Cohen, WQXR New York

Chris Klimecky Producer/Musician.

I hope 2012 is treating you well so far. March is here and I'm so excited about the coming month - my new album, This Journey, is officially (and finally) done and off to the replicators! It will be ready for distribution, both in hard copy and electronic form, in a few weeks. It has been an incredible journey and I've been working so hard I've stayed fairly quiet about it. Now as the release feels right around the corner, I realize how much help I need getting the word out. I've never been more proud about the music or artwork that I've put out to represent me. I hope that the love and sweat that I've put into it touches you and motivates you to tell a friend about it. Share and spread the love!

On my website, I've just released the full artwork for the album, so please have a look at the incredible graphics and design that David Cook of Cook-Creative and OriginWest put together for me: http://chrisklimecky.com/thisjourneyart/

Also, I am now working hard to put together a band that will represent this vision live with me. If you know of any musician who might be interested in joining up to rock out on these tunes, please let me know. It's going to be a fun couple of months as the music starts to get out there and a band comes together to bring it alive.

For now, have a fantastic March and I'll talk to you again soon. I'd love to hear from you, too, so please feel free to ping me at anytime. Thank you so much,

Chris

SONG OF THE MONTH
It has been said that if someone listening to a song does not understand the message the songwriter is delivering, then the songwriter has failed as a communicator. I don't think that will be the case with the Song of the Month for March, "Homosexual".  (DOWNLOAD / PREVIEW)

I grew up with gay family members and gay friends. The concept was introduced to me at a young enough age that prejudices never entered the picture. Some people are queer. Big deal. Obviously though, there are people who feel differently. It's evident watching the debates on DOMA and DADT and other ridiculous topics. Republicans want us out of their bedroom but still want the ability to go into yours. For some people, queer can be "someone else's problem", but for parents, you don't get that choice. If you're having kids, open your mind, because "life is like a box of chocolates".

SHOWS
TONIGHT: The Big Queer Rock Show at TT's. We'll be premiering this song live. You want to be there.  https://www.facebook.com/events/110891305694962/
MARCH 24th our first appearance at Michael's in Plymouth.
MARCH 29th we return to Precinct in Somerville with our friends The Invisible Rays
CKG T-SHIRTS Check out the "Pie" shirt, "Blinkie McJitters" shirt and more - new designs in all sizes for men and women.

LYRICS for "Homosexual"

So did you see the writing on the wall
when your son showed a certain "flair"
And it didn't seem that strange to you that all his "girlfriends" had really short hair
Then just one ear gets pierced to showcase his pretty face
"Turn off the football dad, it's time for 'Will and Grace'"

There's one thing I think you know
Your son's a homosexual
Don't believe that he'll outgrow it
Your son's a homosexual

Somehow the tight pink shirts were not enough to give it away
What did you tell yourself when your friends called him fruitcake
"If they don't ask don't tell 'cause this world can get really mean
Ah hell, we love you son"
whatever makes you happy"

Don't know if you're homosexual
Do you think I'm homosexual
Does God loves the homosexuals?
God loves the homosexuals

NEXT MONTH
The release of the video for "Taxidermy Song", plus a song about not having sex with Guns and Roses

Some of the members of Zelazowa have put a band resource site together and we feel it is well worth our support, therefore, we have just added it as a link on our open page @ PlutoRadio.com.  Zelazowa is a great band with a vibe all their own and certainly deserving to be heard.  They jumped into our commercial free Pluto Radio stream some time ago and I am advocating that you support this amazing effort to better the music community at large...

Paul E. Phoics Remix Single...

New Paul E. Phonics Remix Single Out Now!

• Home
• The Chameleon

Paul E. Phonics is a musical alter ego of Canadian Paul McCormick, a side of the musician that evolved from his fondness for New Wave, Electronica, Progressive Rock, Industrial Rock and Film Scores.  The combination of these influences has led to a sound that is utterly unique with each song becoming the equivalent of a short film in its own right with abstract, poetic lyrics revealing the plot like some kind of secret code.

McCormick left his homeland in 2000 in search of new musical inspiration ending up in Berlin, Germany.  After years of playing in various bands and performing alone with his acoustic guitar in the smaller cafés and clubs of the city, he decided in 2009 to take a different approach and awaken some aspects of his musical personality that had been dormant for years.  The result is "Paul E. Phonics" - a singer/songwriter for the 21st century - essentially a one man band with Paul on keyboards and vocals accompanied by his laptop.

For more info, please visit the Paul E. Phonics Homepage.

CANCER KILLING GEMINI - Rock / Electronic Music from Boston, MA

Rock 4 Animals / Animals 4 Rock.

So if you haven't heard already, Cancer Killing Gemini's next show is an animal benefit called Black & White Animal Night. We're teaming up with I, Pistol and Sugar Snow to raise money for a non-profit animal rescue organization called Kitty Connection from Medford, MA. The show is at Radio (379 Somerville Ave) in Union Sq Somerville.

The financial bottom has pretty much fallen out of the music industry in recent years. Instead of fighting it, we're going with the flow, and even paddling a little bit. The cover at the door will go to the charity. The raffle will go the charity. Money from sponsors will go to the charity. We'll show up and play to a room of (hopefully) drunk, happy animal lovers. (as compiled on the bands website)
