The Daylights are an alternative rock band from Los Angeles. The trio is fronted by brothers Ran Jackson and Ricky Jackson, with Svend Lerche on Drums. Best known for their song, "I Hope This Gets To You" that was released in December 2010 as a virtual “love letter” on YouTube, it was based on a concept they conceived with their roommate for his long distance girlfriend. Within the first 72 hours, the video was viewed over 1.5 million times & every major press outlet had something to say about the phenomenon. Their self titled album "The Daylights" was released September 14, 2010 on the band's own label, 87th Floor Records. The album spent 5 weeks on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart. "Rogue Machine" and "I Hope This Gets To You" both reached Top 50 at Hot AC radio, and The Daylights were the only unsigned band in the Top 100. "I Hope This Gets To You" went to #4 on Sirius XM. The Daylights had three headlining tours in support of their self-titled album, including the No Reverse Tour

The songs are reminiscent of Pink Floyd, Alan Parsons, The Beatles, but also the heavier rock of Black Sabbath. Dear Wolf

Dear Wolf ist eine Rockband aus Krefeld, die 1988 gegründet wurde. Zuvor war die Band regional unter dem Namen No Sports aufgetreten.
Die Band spielt Rockmusik mit englischen Texten und Elementen aus Alternative Pop und Rock. Dear Wolf feierte Anfang der 1990er Jahre Erfolge mit ihren Alben und durch Videoausstrahlungen der Songs Lost und Summertrain über MTV und VIVA.
Aufgrund musikalischer Differenzen war im Jahre 1997 das vorläufige Ende der Band unausweichlich. Anfang 2005 initiierten die beiden Köpfe und Gründungsmitglieder von Dear Wolf, Alexander Classen und Martin Smeets, die Band neu. Mit dem Drummer Oliver Griethe und dem etwas später dazu gestoßenen Bassisten Guido Geerlings komplettierte sich die Band. Nach einer kreativen Pause und einen weiteren Personalwechsel an der Bassgitarre mit Tobias Kirsten, wurde im Jahr 2012 das aktuelle Album "Hello Stars" veröffentlicht. Die Band wurde für Livekonzerte durch Michael Hoefels am Keyboard zusätzlich verstärkt.

Biography

25 years in the making – LAF were originally formed in 1986 as a recording vehicle for the songs of Phil Matthews and Alastair Boden.

After a spell during which life got in the way the duo reunited at the start of 2009 on the back of renewed interest in the music from the Internet.

Initially writing and recording a four track EP titled “Sparkle” LAF was invited by jupitersmoon.co.uk to release

a full length compilation of highlights to date named “Random Play All.”

Phil and Al decided that now was the time to take the music out live and with the addition of Andy Dobson on bass and stompbox and Rachel McCullough on harmonies formed a stripped down version of the band.  (info via band's webpage)

Pilgrim Speakeasy began as the freak powered vehicle for the expressions of a psychedelic troubadour from Scotland. Following exotic explorations via Newcastle, London, Denmark and Finland...,  the vehicle has since become the driver.. evolving into the worlds foremost Eclecto-funk-world-rock-electro-folk anomaly!

Although solely producing albums since 2000, Pilgrim Speakeasy is also an open entity and has welcomed the talents of many esteemed contributors from many countries over the years.

At present the core of The Pilgrim Speakeasy Collective consists of Roger Roge, Panu Mölsä (Bass, Ukulele), Markus Mulkahainen (Drums & Percussion). Currently involved in recording a follow up to the acclaimed ' A Ruff Guide To..Pilgrim Speakeasy' album Pilgrim Speakeasy are also taking it to the stage with their stripped down, raw edged live performances.

The latest album, released in spring 2014 is 'Lo-Fi Love At The Park Cafe'

I hope 2012 is treating you well so far. March is here and I'm so excited about the coming month - my new album, This Journey, is officially (and finally) done and off to the replicators! It will be ready for distribution, both in hard copy and electronic form, in a few weeks. It has been an incredible journey and I've been working so hard I've stayed fairly quiet about it. Now as the release feels right around the corner, I realize how much help I need getting the word out. I've never been more proud about the music or artwork that I've put out to represent me. I hope that the love and sweat that I've put into it touches you and motivates you to tell a friend about it. Share and spread the love!

Eric Walker’s career in entertainment began in the early eighties in acting. He is most well known for the two movies he starred in as Mace Towani for George Lucas in the Star Wars spin off known as The Ewok Adventures.
 
It was High School at LACHSA that he began his artistic journey into the uncompromising creative depth of music and all it has to offer. But he wasn’t satisfied with just knowing how to execute mere music play and this would lead Eric to purchasing his first keyboard, a Roland synthesizer. This allowed him to practice at home with no limit access to embedding himself into his endeavor to attain some kind of admirable mastery of the music he loved so much.  (as compiled on the Eric Walker website)

PHIL BOWLEY - 5 Wicked ways

Guitarist, Phil Bowley, is a gifted musician who knows what to play in any given situation. Phil has spent most of his life dedicated to the six string, being equally comfortable playing Les pauls, strat's, tele's and acoustic.

Raised on the styles of Hendrix / Page / Blackmore / Iommi / Gary Moore / Michael Schenker / Van Halen / Kevin Pratt , Phil has created a style uniquely his own. Phil say's.."the key is always in the feel, one note can work, but sometimes you need 1,000,000".

In 1979, at the tender age of 15, a very young Bowley wrote the entire musical score to his high school musical. which was a huge success. During the 80's, his metal band "White Widow" scored the special guest slot on DIO'S 1986 "Sacred Heart" tour of Australia, playing to 12,000 screaming maniacs. Hanging out back stage and swapping licks with Dio guitarist, Craig Goldy.

Phil joined Candy Harlots in 1990, recording the album "Five Wicked Ways" in 1991, including the singles Danger/Foreplay/Sisters Crazy/What Are We Fighting For. Touring the country with the Divinyls, Screaming Jets, Scatter Brain and the mighty ACDC. During ACDC'S 1991 "Razors edge" tour, Phil received high praise from Angus Young, playing to 48,000 people in four days. Phil is playing live around town currently with Ignition (as compiled from the bands website).
