THE FLYING EYES - Psychedelic Blues!

The Flying Eyes are a heavy, psychedelic blues band hailing from Baltimore, Maryland. They took their name from a 1962 science fiction novel about giant, disembodied eyes that descend from outer space to control humanity.

In 2007, three long time friends (Adam, Mac and Elias) adopted Will as their lead singer, thus solidifying the lineup that would carry them forward. In the winter of 2008, they released the “Bad Blood EP” at a sold out show at The Talking Head Club in downtown Baltimore. That summer, they toured for the first time to Texas and back supporting this independent release.

Beginning in 2007, The Flying Eyes began throwing an annual summer festival entitled, “Farm Fest”, at The Carney Farm (owned by Jon Carney, first chair violinist for The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra) in Manchester, Maryland. By the 2009, Farm Fest had evolved from a large outdoor party into a popular underground happening, drawing 400 plus attendees. In 2009 they headlined the festival and released their newest work, the “Winter EP” at the event. Other performers included The Black Hollies, The Albertans and Vincent Black Shadow.

In the summer of 2009 The Flying Eyes embarked on a thirty-three day tour across the entire country playing at venues in New York, Nashville, Los Angeles and Chicago. After this great American odyssey, they were approached by german label Trip in Time Records (a sub label of World in Sound Records) to release both of their self produced EPs as a full length CD/LP. (as compiled from the bands website).
