PILGRIM SPEAKEASY - Kaleidoscopic Reflection

Pilgrim Speakeasy began as the freak powered vehicle for the expressions of a psychedelic troubadour from Scotland whose name over the past decade has slowly been forgotten. The songs are poetic and  philosophical reflections of what is referred to as reality, entwined with multi dimensional harmony and a unanimous cook up of rhythmic diversity totem poling its multifaceted character through a soup of originality.

If art is a reflection of a state of being then this is a kaleidoscopic reflection. But accessibly so and without drifting into the vacant sewers of popdom. ‘The partially perfect pretenders present pre-packed preposterous poses producing pretty pictures of petty poignancy’.

Its not quite escapism, showing you the magic but not removing itself entirely from the earth. The bleakness is comic the potency is cosmic…’You can have your head in the clouds if your hands are in the soil..’ Pilgrim Speakeasy solely produces all elements of this music, with occasional special guest spots from esteemed visitors. When the show is on the road it has been known as Pilgrim Speakeasy and The Playthings (as compiled from the bands website).
